Re: Orange Module running MULTI protocol

Are you using the Multi protocol or PPM? Have you checked the 2 resistors are on the board? Please try the following. Set the throttle off bottom (to get a throttle warning). Now power on normally, and look at the LED on the module, it should be flashing indicating it is running, but not receiving a...

Re: Should I update my transmitter?

If you are running the stock firmware shipped with the radio then I think your models cannot be read by companion for updating so you would need to reprogram them all. I'm not certain, but I think companion, if it does read your models, doesn't update from that far back. You would need to update you...

Re: which STM32 processor in Taranis plus

Did the special test version run OK? I need to know if the change I put in solves the potential problem in general because if the 32kHz crystal fails whilw using the Tx, and then there is, for some reason, a watchdog reboot, the Tx won't come back working and we need, for safety, to be sure it does....

Re: ERSKY9X Coding

Correct, nothing changes in the calibration menu, but the way a "pot with detent" is calibrated changes. With a detent, you need to centre the pot along with centering the sticks, without a detent, the pot centre is simply half way between the min. and max. values. I just checked on my QX7 and that ...

Re: ERSKY9X Coding

Check to see if MENU LONG does, however, call up the Detent setting menu on the 9Xtreme.

On the QX7, have a look in the hardware menu, the detent settings should be there. Something else to rationalise across platforms.

Nothing specific, just including nearly all the other changes that are in ersky9x in general.

I'm not actually using a Horus for flying, I find the case a bit large, and I have quite large hands.
If there is anything specific you are looking for, let me know.

Bt baudrate is there as well, and the BT name and addresses are on the Hardware tab. How big (small) is your screen? I use a 1920x1080! Re: The new Turnigy 9X hardware can use ER9X ?

I have no idea! I can only assume the module does use PPM so that the stock firmware is unchanged. If this is the case, then the radio should run er9x.

I've just posted another, specific test version for you. This runs a timeout on setting up the RTC.
If this runs, please go to the "BOOT REASON" menu and report the numbers at the bottom of the screen.

Re: which STM32 processor in Taranis plus

I've just had a look at the code that initialises the RTC and it has something in it that waits for the 32kHz oscillator to start. This should have a timeout in it. It seems that the 32kHz oscillator isn't starting. The 32kHz crystal is Y1 and connects to pins 8 and 9 of the processor. Worth checkin...

Re: CRSF protocol for TBS Crossfire?

I've posted a "f3" test version. This processes some more CRSF telemetry data: GPS Lat, Long, Altitude, Course Attitude data, which is places the the AccX, AccY and AccZ values. I expect the Lat. and Long. values to be odd since I don't know how they are coded in the packet, but maybe if the values ...

I've posted "f3", this has:
Fix "Beep Cnt" display bug
Save some flash space in PPM generation (mainly for "SKY" board, only has 10K free flash!).
Fix bug in DSM HACK module range check selection
Add more processing for CRSF telemetry

Re: CRSF protocol for TBS Crossfire?

AS I'm trying to get the CRSF telemetry working, I'm not, currently, decoding all packet types, only the LINK packet and the BATTERY packet. From your raw data, no BATTERY packet is being received, only LINK, ATTITUDE, FLIGHT MODE and GPS. So you are correct in that you are likely to only see TxSSI ...

Re: which STM32 processor in Taranis plus

The next two things that would be done, before displaying a Q are to initialise the trainer capture, then the real time clock. What is the state of the RTC battery (and did you remove that when replacing the processor)?

Try, at least, removing the RTC battery (which should be around 3 volts.

There are always things that could be added, then they need testing and eepskye updated to match. I need to just put a marker down and do a formal release of where we are at. After that, I'll consider looking at other things. At present, there isn't a formal release that supports the QX7 (or the Hor...

Re: ERSKY9X Coding

Not exactly, I sort of missed it! I had an option elsewhere for the Taranis/QX7/Horus for setting detents, and added this option for Atmel processor based radios. It should be easy to include this for the 9Xtreme.

I've posted an updated eepskye of the ersky9x test version post. This supports the global voice alerts and the welcome voice message configuration. Re: ERSKY9X Coding

Looks like an error in the manual. The 9X (no R) has the pots P3, P1, P2 from left to right, as does the 9XR-PRO.
I never used a 9XR, so I don't know if they wired it differently.

Re: ERSKY9X Coding

P1 and P2 are the pots at the top of the radio, P3 is the "odd" one at the left beside the ELE switch, so I think you are adjusting the P3 pot for the volume.

Re: ERSKY9X Coding

Model menu, General, near the end you set the "Volume control". You have to set this for each model. This is because some models might want to use all the pots for controls so one isn't available for the volume. You may also use a GVAR for the volume. I think you can disable the use of the throttle ...

I've got a change so that the sequence of voice alerts becomes:
Welcome.wav plays,

Play any global voice alerts set to ONCE,
Play the model name,
Play any model voice alerts set to ONCE.

I will see if this may be improved on.
