Re: FrSky DHT Trace cut or No Trace Cut ?

A "D" receiver (e.g. D8R) will send A1 and A2 voltages, but you need to set the scaling in the telemetry menu to get the correct value displayed, see the manual referred to 5 posts back for how to do this.

Re: Turnigy QBot radio adapter

I don't know what a "Turnigy QBot radio adapter" is. Please provide a link to the device so we can help.
If it is using the trainer port, then you need to set the trainer source to "Slave" so the Tx outputs trainer PPM data rather than receives trainer data.

Download "X8R X6R FW20170210.zip". In that file are both versions. From their filenames it is clear (EU and NONEU) which is which.

That version is, in fact, r821, I slipped up with the SVN number on the build.
Holding the left trim to the left should give a message "Hardware Menu Enabled" at power up, then you should find the Hardware menu is accessible from the Radio Setup Menu.

Re: FrSky DHT Trace cut or No Trace Cut ?

Have you set the "FrSky Mod Done" setting in the Hardware menu?
Enable the Hardware menu by powering on with the left horizontal trim held to the left.

Indeed, I've been trying to get to that point. One "problem" is I need to get someone else to build eepskye for the MAC, so need to "freeze" everything while this is done.

Re: Taranis QX7 bluetooth

Seems like that board is working fine, without needing any mods done. Regarding BT 4.0, I have my HM-10 detecting the BT module in a Horus. By default, they are using a different "UUID" value, so don't immediately communicate, but the HM-10 includes a command to change the "UUID" value, so I may get...

Re: How to receive GPS on 9xrPro Ersky9xr 221 g7

No, if GPS data is sent over the SPort, then it should appear on the GPS display screen, and be available to log.

I would guess that the GPS data is not being sent from Betaflight.

Re: Throttle trim as flap adjuster

I think what you need to do is: 1. On the "Inputs" don't include the throttle trim with the throttle stick, this frees off the throttle trim. 2. On the "Inputs", create a new input with source Ttm. 3. Make sure FP1 and FP2 use their OWN throttle trim. 4. Create suitable mixes to control the flaps us...

I don't know Betaflight, but it seems you don't have any SPort telemetry working. SWR comes from the Tx module and RSSI comes from the Rx.

Re: Another two modules thread. 2.0

If the red LED is blinking, then at least the processor is working OK.
What bootloader did you flash to the module? The STMduino bootloader is for flashing from the USB, not the radio.

In the Arduino IDE, have you used the "boards manager" and installed "Multi 4-in-1 STM32 Board"?

Re: Realistic driving in land vehicles.

If your throttle (ratchet) stick is on the left, then you should be in mode 2. The radio needs this to be able to "know" where the throttle stick is in order to do the throttle check on power on/model select properly. Note that in each model, you may configure the throttle check to test for the stic...

Re: EU, Universal Binding Rxs

Your original Tx is going to be "Universal", if it is that old. Where did you obtain your new purchase? Are you sure the "Universal" one you got was not actually an EU version? The type really affects only the firmware on the internal XJT module, and it is possible to flash that with the firmware yo...

I just tried something in Companion, a couple of logical switches: L01: a<x GV1 3 AND(SHv) Duration(0.1) L01: a=x GV1 3 AND(SHv) Duration(0.1) Then a couple of special functions: SF1: L01 AdjustGV1 Increment 1 SF2: L02 AdjustGV1 Value 0 These cause GV1 to step through 0, 1 and 2 each time SH is togg...

I was going to suggest:
CH3: 50% Thr (Offset 50%)

Where the * indicates a Multiply mix
Only needs 2 mix lines.

Re: How precise is OpenTX?

The value between -1024 to +1024 is scaled in order to send it to the XJT module, by a factor of 512/682 (=0.75073) in openTx. ersky9x uses a factor of 3/4 (=0.75). The resulting PPM pulse would only differ by 0.5uS between these. Checking the output pulse from a S8R receiver, I see 988 uS to 2012 u...

Re: XJT Mode - switch on module case or in model settings

No need to use the switches on the back of the module, always just use the menu. The switches are only there for the case where the module is used in a Tx that only outputs PPM and so cannot have a menu for the settings.

I always make up a pack, I just don't trust a battery holder, too many connections, any one of which could fail, and they tend to have a relatively high resistance.

Works perfectly OK, I have such an arrangement on my QX7. The only "extra" thing I have done is to include a diode in the charging connection to prevent the charger being connected with reverse polarity.

The 4th Jan version is only for the Taranis Plus. P3 is a "spare" analog input, and wasn't working correctly, that test version just fixed the problem to allow it to work.
You may use a pot as a 6-pos switch, just run the calibration on it.
