Re: Flashed Er9x - extremely disapointed

Off Topic
Could be possible from a script, but I'll need to add some options/functions to the script language to allow it to be able to change things like mix settings.

Try changing the polarity of the PPM signal (POS or NEG).

Re: ERSKY9X Coding

The bold on the weight indicates the mix is being processed (is active) when calculating the channel to which it applies. If you want to know what the channel as a whole is doing, move the reverse highlighting to that channel and look at the bar on the top line. If you just have a switch as the sour...

Re: ERSKY9X Coding

The weight is in bold if the mix is ACTIVE. Possibly the thing that is incorrect is the weight is not always in bold when the source is FULL or HALF, since these are, in fact, always active.

I have the stick deadband in for '128 and '2561 processors, mainly just a case of copying the code from ersky9x. I haven't posted this yet however. FairMan: Perhaps you could describe what you think of as "more intuitive" for the operation of the templates. Possibly the operation of applying templat...

Re: ERSKY9X Coding

What's wrong? With just a switch as source, the mix is always active, so the 100 is in bold indicating this. A 2-position switch causes the output to swap between -100% and +100%. If you add a switch on the switch line (e.g. RUDder), then when the switch is off, the 100 is no longer bold as the mix ...

Re: Orange Module running MULTI protocol

Repeating the "maintenance mode" operation to "Update Multi" on the module should check the wire is still connected OK. My, "it should work" is based on having used that method to flash the module, everything should be connected, so the chip should also be working OK.

Re: ERSKY9X Coding

When a switch is the SOURCE, the mix is active. It is only when you have a switch in the switch setting the mix may become inactive.

Re: *Two* FBVS01 with *two* batteries: which wires to connect to where?

See here: viewtopic.php?f=95&t=4293&p=60766&hilit ... png#p60766, for how I connect voltage sensor(s) to a D8R.
If the A2 input is "floating" (nothing connected), then it will typically return a similar voltage to the A1 input. This is normal.

No data arriving on COM 1.
I'll ask you to check the wire you added from the processor pin to the bottom pin of the module connector is still connecting OK.

Re: Orange Module running MULTI protocol

I have mine working in the last 'PRO beta Tx. Check the Real Time Clock is running and the battery hasn't gone flat. The inverter for the telemetry input is controlled from an output of the RTC chip, and doesn't work properly if the RTC battery is flat. If the RTC battery is flat, change the INVERT ...

Re: 9Xtreme Add 2nd Internal XJT Mod

Yes, just connect both modules to the same signal (com1).
As an alternative, connect an internal XJT to COM1, and connect the external module to COM2 if it is only ever to be used for single direction data.

Re: Orange Module running MULTI protocol

Looks like all the firmware flashing is fine, and the hardware serial connections must be OK or the flashing from maintenance mode would not have worked. What you are not getting is the telemetry/status data from the module. With everything as you last had it (Multi/FLYSKY selected and the LED on th...

Re: 9Xtreme Add 2nd Internal XJT Mod

The hardware was not designed to support TWO SPort connections. The FrSky transmitters have their internal XJT connected to the same SPort signal as any external module. What configuration are you considering? If you connect the internal XJT SPort signal to COM1 (SPort connection), then all should w...

Re: Orange Module running MULTI protocol

Yes you want the PdiMini sketch. The fast flashing (5 times per second) is correct if you run the sketch when not connected to the Orange module, it indicates a failure to flash, which is correct since it doesn't have anything to flash! You get the slow flashing when it is connected to the Orange mo...

Re: Ersky9x Bug Reporting

You may save the "EEPROM" in two formats, .bin and .eepe. A .bin file is a direct copy of the EEPROM on the radio, and doesn't have anywhere to store the mixer notes. A .eepe file is actually a XML file and does store the notes.

Either only one module on at a time, or, if using a XJT module in the external bay, disable telemetry operation on that module by setting both dip switches up and re-binding to a receiver.

Re: 9Xtreme Add 2nd Internal XJT Mod

The SPort signal is half-duplex, but the COM port is multiplexed outside of the processor using a 3-state buffer. The data polarity is inverted. To use COM2 for SPort data you will need an inverter. There is no firmware support for sending SPort data out using COM2. The 9Xtreme includes power switch...

Re: Flashed Er9x - extremely disapointed

Do you have eepe installed on your PC? This program lets you edit models and simulate them on the PC. The AVR processor includes some "option fuses". One of these, if set, prevents the EEPROM from being erased when you flash new firmware. If not set, then every time you flash new firmware you will g...

I'll get the 0.5 sec option added to eepskye. Originally I only had 1 and 2, the 0.5 was a later addition. To avoid changing the EEPROM values, an so avoid existing settings needing to be changed, I tagged it on the end. I'll need to add some code to get these to display in order, but still keep the...

External module is the module bay. Internal module is the in-built XJT for FrSky radios, or the internal connections for SKY/AR9X/9XR-PRO/9Xtreme. Yes, if you move the connection from the 4th position to the 3rd position, and leave the 4th position unconnected, then run the calibration it should all work.

Re: Manual calibration for 6POS switch?

The voltages from the 6-pos switch should be in an increasing or decreasing order. You show "0.00-1.07-1.66-1.48-1.77-3.3".
The 1.48 value is out of sequence. Can you change the connections so this swaps with the 1.66 value?

Re: Firmware upgrade problem 9XR-PRO

You want the one for the 9XR-PRO. The file should be ersky9xr_rom.bin. On the version screen, the "MOD" should show "REVB-X". What revision are you upgrading from? If it is quite old, you may need to also put new voice files on the SD card. At some point I changed from numbered files to named files....
