Re: 9XR Pro er9x updates
Yes you may update to r226. I have always been careful to make sure new revisions do not change the existing radio and model settings, so you should be able to just do the update. It is always a good idea whenever updating to make a copy of the the existing firmware and settings so you may go back t...

Re: Anyone have any experience with the Detrum 8CH simulator controller?
I've no idea about that device, but many radios running open source firmware (erskyTx, openTx, edgeTx) support joystick operation via USB to enable them to operate as a controller to sims, perhaps that would meet your needs.

Re: Newbie question
1. Start your Tx in bootloader mode. 2. Connect your Tx to your PC using the USB connection. 3. Run companion and read the EEPROM from your Tx. 4. Open the 32K, .bin file in companion, you should now have 2 windows open in companion with models listed in each. 5. Drag and drop any required models fr...

Re: Newbie question
When you have companion installed, there is a good chance you will be able to read that .bin file into it, then be able to transfer model(s) to your Tx.
Let us know when you have companion installed.

Re: ERSKYTx (was ersky9x) Questions
This is very odd. I've compared the two, ersky9xr_rom.bin files (r225 and r226) and the only differences are in the version text and two places containing the fix for the script not running. So the executable code for everything else, like binding, is exactly the same, the files are exactly the same...

Re: ERSKY9X Coding
erskyTx r224 is now released!!! It has been a long time as I've been working on the UNI accst firmware for older FrSky receivers. www.er9x.com has now changed to https (secure) instead of http. This means the existing eepe and eepskye no longer connect. A release install file (rev 424) of these is n...

Re: Troubles with ARCHER PLUS GR8
See here: https://openrcforums.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=157368#p157368 I don't have a X9DE 2019 of any type, but I've been told the version posted there runs on a X9D 2019. Whether this allows the OTA update I don't know, but at least it recognises the "plus" receivers. As usual, before u...

Re: Does ELRS module work fully with 9xr pro?
Please start by trying the ELRSv2 script. I don't use ELRS, but I understand ELRS sends required options to the script that then just displays it.

Re: Turnigy 9x trim buttons
I've had a small number of (similar) trim rockers break on other radios. I've repaired them by gluing the broken pieces back on and adding triangular reinforcements above the pieces. These were made from polystyrene card (40 thou thick) and also glued in place. These have then worked OK.

Re: er9x and multi-protocol telemetry mod
With the X6R and the multi module, the voltage from that pin is sent as RxV and not A1. On er9x, due to lack of RAM, this means there is no scaling for RxV, as there is for A1. What is possible is to use a Scaler to obtain the correct value. Scalers are in the GlobalVars menu of the model. In that m...

Re: er9x and multi-protocol telemetry mod
Check the operation of the A1 input by putting the jumper back in (on the two pins closest to the antennae), and check a1 is then the receiver voltage. Check the connections, as I understand it the pin closest to the servo pins is ground, the middle pin is the Rx voltage divided by 4 and the pin clo...

Without the voice addition, you just have beeps. It's a long time since I had a 9X without the voice addition but I think if you set the sound mode to "PiSpkr" in the General|Audio menu, then set up a voice alert in the model you are able to get different responses. As a test, set a voice a...

Re: er9x and multi-protocol telemetry mod
I removed that feature from the '64 version to make space for other things. The '64 version only has 18 bytes of flash space left and this feature uses 166 bytes of flash. Over a long time I've made the code use less space, while keeping the same functionality, so there is now little scope to shrink...

Yes. But if both AIL and GEA appear to operate together when you change the GEA switch, then it strongly suggests the two signals at the processor pins are connected together.

I suggest checking the mod, particularly the two wires soldered to the processor pins. It is likely there is a short there.

Re: er9x and multi-protocol telemetry mod
The backlight is flashing because the Tx battery voltage is being reported as too low. I may have a buffer overflow, the MPM telemetry for AFHDS2A is longer than I have configured. RAM is limited on the ATMEGA devices so everything has to be kept as small as possible. There may also be a problem wit...

You say you set the option to "Rate 50", for AFHDS2A telemetry you need it as "T-Rate 50".
