Re: Orange Module running MULTI protocol

WINAVR has a very old avr-gcc compiler included. Go here: https://sourceforge.net/projects/mobilechessboar/files/avr-gcc%20snapshots%20%28Win32%29/ , and download "avr-gcc-4.8_2013-03-06_mingw32.zip" (I recommend this one, rather than 4.9.2). In your WINAVR directory, copy the 5 sub-directories "avr...

Re: Build Compile amod [Please help]

Power the radio on holding the LEFT horizontal trim to the LEFT. THis enables the hardware menu.
Now go to "Radio Setup -- Hardware". There is an option "M'Sound Serial", make sure this is ON.

Possibly ask on RCGroups here: https://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthr ... -TX-Module.
I don't know enough about the AFHDS2A protocol to know exactly where to go next.

Re: New-to-me(~2 years old) 9XR Pro owner - need update help

If you put your SD card in your computer, you can copy the latest ersky9x firmware to it (in the "Firmware" directory). Then, when you put the SD card back in to the radio and start in bootloader mode, you can flash the new firmware. This won't update the bootloader. To update that, power on with th...

Re: Problem with last new Hobbyking Turnigy 9X transmiters.

We don't have a definite answer. It should work. Make sure you read the supplied firmware and EEPROM from the radio before you flash new firmware, then you can, at least, revert to the original firmware.

Re: Build Compile amod [Please help]

What processor do you have on your radio M64, M128 (or M2561)?
For the M64 you need to flash a specific build to use the serial voice, on the '128 and '2561 there is a hardware setting to indicate the Megasound is on a serial connection.

I suggest checking the antenna connection(s).

What firmware are you using on the radio?

Re: Orange Module running MULTI protocol

The range should be normal. If it is low then either the module is always giving poor range, or something is not set correctly.
Check you haven't selected "Power Low" in the protocol.
What range do you get in "Range Check" mode?

Re: Build Compile amod [Please help]

Here is another test you could try/check, before I do a special test version.

If you have an empty SD card and power up the Megasound, it should "mount" the SD card, then create a directory called "MODELS" on the SD card. Do you see such a directory being created?

Re: Build Compile amod [Please help]

Probably correct. Do you get "beeps" when you use a trim switch? I think most things are working, but there is a problem accessing the SD card. What software did you use to format the card? It is recommended to use the "SDFormatter" program from the Sd Association ( https://www.sdcard.org/downloads/...

Re: Orange Module running MULTI protocol

I'm not sure if the bootloader will still be in the processor flash or not. It does have a specific area, but may be erased when the chip is erased when flashing the Multi firmware. Just curious, is the Multi firmware not working for you or do you have another reason to go back to the original firmw...

Re: Build Compile amod [Please help]

There should be a connection to the board for the original beeper signal. Please try connecting this in (with a ground connection), and see if the beeper (set to "pispkr") sounds come out. This will test some of the audio amplifier circuit.

Re: New-to-me(~2 years old) 9XR Pro owner - need update help

Power the radio on while holding both horizontal trim switches towards the centre, then plug in the USB cable.
I can't remember when I made the bootloader recognise the USB cable at power on and enter the bootloader code, early versions went to the processor ROM boot code.

Re: Reloading models after firmware upgrade

There is only one version for the '128 processor. There is a setting in the hardware menu to indicate if you have done the telemetry (Frsky) mod.
Don't forget to consider setting the fuses so the EEPROM doesn't get erased when you flash the firmware.

Re: Binding problem

It may well be that the Multi.txt file has become too large to be fully read into the radio memory. I have increased the available memory allocated for this, but you will need to flash a test version of ersky9x. Go here: http://openrcforums.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=4676 , download "ersky9xProvR...

Re: 9XR PRO + DJT - Telemetry Problem

Is your real time clock running?
If not, please set it and make sure the battery for it is OK.
A control signal for selecting inversion of the telemetry input is controlled from the RTC chip and if this is not running then the inversion may be wrong.

Re: Build Compile amod [Please help]

When you type 1 to 9, does the 1 to 9 get sent back?
TESTING mode probably makes the upload fail due to sending the 'X' characters.
Also, in TESTING mode, the file 0040.WAV is played repeatedly. Put a 0040.WAV file on and see what happens then.

The simulation is on the computer. You move the "sticks" and "switches" on the computer, not those on the 'PRO. It does not respond to the real sticks and switches on the radio.

Re: Reloading models after firmware upgrade

You may need to change the fuse(s) in the processor, there is an option in the burn menu "Set fuses to protect EEPROM" for this. I'm guessing the fuse that erases the EEPROM along with the flash, is set. Also, have a look in your PC "TEMP" directory. When you flash the firmware, eepe takes a backup ...
