Re: Using in 9XR-PRO

I know that there is a table of values in the Orange module that is incorrect. This wrong table was being used in the "Deviation" project and was used in the Orange module and in the Multi module. I spotted the error and the table is now correct in the multi module (and Deviation). I'm not certain, ...

Re: ERSKY9X Coding

I found a timeout in ersky9x that was too short when flashing past the 28672 size. I've fixed that, now large files look to flash OK.
I've posted an updated version for the 'PRO. No change needed to the bootloader in the multi module.

Re: Using in 9XR-PRO

Saving the existing firmware depends on whether they have "locked" the firmware to make it not readable. In any case, you would need a programmer that supports the PDI programminbg method to be able to read it.

Re: ERSKY9X Coding

It looks like there may be a problem in the bootloader when the application size exceeds 28672 bytes (28K i.e. 28+1024). This requires flashing to an area that could be part of a bootloader. The optiboot bootloader has code in to handle this, but it seems something is not working or responding in ti...

Re: ERSKY9X Coding

Busy day! It looks like I added a bug for flashing the AVR module when adding the code to flash the Orange module. For the 'PRO, I've posted a new test version, hopefully with the bug fixed but I haven't time to test it. I'll do a "c3" build later tonight. A .hex file is typically 2.5 times the size...

Not ersky9x. When I investigated this Tx I believe it has a Freescale processor in it with limited flash and RAM, so it wasn't going to be able to run the open source firmware.

Re: Turnigy 9Xtreme, XJT, and Telemetry

Play has always been the default. The difference is in the detection of "No Telemetry". It used to be "is any telemetry being received", and used the last value received, even if it was minutes ago. Now, each item is checked with its own timeout. So, before, if you were receiving telemetry, and the ...

The RSSI values when using DSM telemetry range from 0 to 31.

Re: Orange Module running MULTI protocol

I've just added a new binary for the Orange module on the first post "MultiOrangeBoot.zip", which unzips to give "MultiOrangeBoot.bin". This contains the Multi code, ver 1.1.6.20, for the Orange module (green), and also has a bootloader included. Don't be surprised to find it it bigger than 32K, the...

Re: ERSKY9X Coding

Just had a look around the STM information loaded into the IDE. I've found references to using a 'maple' bootloader, and also some linker scripts and board options that suggest we might be able to get a bootloader in.
It needs investigation though.

Re: Turnigy 9Xtreme, XJT, and Telemetry

That is quite likely! If the individual telemetry timeout expires, so a telemetry item is no longer valid, I think I now force the value to 0. A bit of a toss up choice here. If a value becomes invalid, I need to choose between continuing to report the last value, so possibly not highlighting a prob...

Re: ERSKY9X Coding

A bootloader really needs to be the thing that runs at power on, and decide to run the application or itself. The STM always starts from the beginning of flash. This requires the application to be located somewhere else (which is what is done on ARM processors for ersky9x/openTx). This then needs to...

I haven't heard of "smartaudio support for unify/tramp adjustments", so I would need data to know what this is all about.
Then I could consider it, although I doubt I would be able to test anything.

Re: ERSKY9X Coding

Should work OK with that power circuit.
The STM needs a bootloader to be written and integrated into the module. That is not easy while building the firmware in the Arduino IDE.

Re: Turnigy 9Xtreme, XJT, and Telemetry

I've posted a 'c1'. This lets you set the telemetry timeout up to 10 seconds.

If the radio is reporting "receiver signal critical" it may still be receiving telemetry as the RSSI value is sent by the receiver.

Make sure in the telemetry menu you have the "Usr Proto" set to "DSM". This enables the bind response from the module to be seen by the radio. Then try binding. If that doesn't work, please go here: http://openrcforums.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=4676 , and download a recent test version. Backup y...

Re: Another two modules thread, lol. TH9XB - ??

Do you need telemetry from both tanks at the same time? If so, this is not supported by ersky9x as it only has a single set of telemetry values so telemetry from both will overwrite each other. How many channels do you need in total? A single XJT module handles 16 channels an may be bound to X8R rec...

Re: Turnigy 9Xtreme, XJT, and Telemetry

The cell voltages tend to be sent at a slower rate to everything else, so I already had a 4 second timeout on them. If other things don't arrive inside 4.0 seconds, then the cell voltages may be more delayed so I opted to extend their timeout as well.

I've just posted "b9" with this change in. It is still in the logging menu. It was much quicker to put it there, and it now needs testing to see if the option fixes the problem. The default timeout is 2.5 seconds, but you may adjust it up to 4.0 seconds (except for individual cells, Ctot and Cvlt wh...
