Re: Trouble with Turnigy 9X and ER9X

The MENU button is shared with SCK. If it's stuck closed it may prevent programming depending on the programmer's drive strength.

It's likely the source of both your issues.

That will work but is not correct, you should leave it in mode 2 and change ordering in the mixer.

Re: OpenTX Companion 2.1.9 - EDIT SETTINGS

Both would work. Pointing to the real SD card has the advantage of always matching what you have on your radio, but then you have to connect the radio everytime you want to use the simulator or see your images/sounds in companion. Making a copy it's always available, but then you should remember to ...

Re: OpenTx Lua Script Hold Inputs

Yep, completely unnecessary overkill :)
There are actually several ways of doing it, but one only involves assigning a switch to something already existing. Finding out what is the exercise of the day ;)

You're not supposed to be able to disable compensation.
Actually the workaround could have been problematic in some cases.

The Direction = Off was a workaround that's pretty much redundant now that the correct option exists, guess it can be removed.

Re: Taranis DEAD !!!!!

Is your radio a Taranis or Taranis Plus? They use different firmware.

It is normal for it not to "power up" if the USB cable was connected with power off. The radio is already powered up even with the switch off, but in the DFU bootloader in this scenario.

Nope, the DIY Dx4e-based module binds from the menu.

Re: FrSky Taranis Q X7 Radio

A 9XR-Pro with an FrSky XJT costs $101. Here it's integrated, you've got an additional slot, and a bit more functionality through Lua. You lose a pot and 2 2-pos switches, you have 3 switches that gain a 3rd position. Both are pretty close, so it's different options that will be down to personal cho...

Re: ERSKY9X Coding

No, all 2.1 companion releases are compatible with all 2.1 firmware releases. It's just recommended to upgrade both when a release is done since there have usually been fixes in both. Anything that requires a change of EEPROM format and thus a compatibility break is only done on major versions, with...

There have been quite a few similar projects you could base yourself on.

For companion that is only for major upgrades (2.0, 2.1, 2.2..) of which there is approximately one per year.

On the topic OpenTX 2.2 will have inputs on the 9XR-Pro and other ARM-based 128x64 radios, so it will be possible for them too.

Each manufacturer's system does it differently. Most systems just store the transmitter's unique identifier and that's it.

Yes but whatever you hook to SBUS will likely disable itself when you get closer than about 150 from the ends because signal is out of standard range.
