Re: Optical encoders for gimbals?

Lack of absolute position reference is not cool.
Resolution is a tradeoff with speed and physical size, quick stick movements skipping steps would be even less cool.

Re: Unable to flash firmware (More than one DFU device found)

No, you should call "C:\Program Files (x86)\OpenTX\Companion 2.2\dfu-util.exe --list" in a command prompt and look at the output, which hopefully would give some information about what the other device is so we can see if it's possible to disconnect it. Before that you might try to disconnect every ...

Re: 9XR PRO FRSKY Telemetry

Unless that's changed I believe the C&T cable is just a passive serial level adapter. I think the FC can output native S.Port that you can send straight out as standard FrSky telemetry. There's a separate data format for their script and you shoudl be able to change which one you want put out. Mavli...

Re: ERSKY9X Coding

Also on the AVR the bootloader is at the END of the flash (with the fuses telling where to start from) while the STM always starts from the bottom, so of a bootloader is used it has to be put there. That means that on AVR the same binary can be used with and without bootloader (at the cost of losing...

why the flysky 8ch module is not compatible with the 10 channels receiver?
Because when the 8CH module was manufactured the 10CH protocol didn't exist, it was developed later. So the old module doesn't know about it, and as it's not upgradable it never will.

Re: 9XR PRO FRSKY Telemetry

You can't know amps without a current sensor... now it seems your power module has one, which would give current data to the FC, now you need to get the FC to tell that to the receiver if possible. Need to check the doc of your FC to see if it can talk to an FrSky receiver and how to configure it if...

The hardware serial port is tied to a particular pin, you can't change it.

If the pixhawk can send Spektrum telemetry, but I really doubt it does.

Re: ersky9x no RSSI range and no telemetry with MULTI on OrangeRX

If you want to transmit additional information you need to connect sensors to the receiver's smart port. Other flight controllers can do so and act as sensor, not sure about pixhawk though.

Is the curr.vcc not supposed to be the same as the Rxv?

How do you actually measure the actual voltage and is it measured on the pixhawk or the X8R?
RxV is measured and transmitted by the receiver itself.

No idea what a pixhawk would measure and how, never used one.

Well you definitely want to change them to get the quad to fly better, but NOT when the goal is to adjust the response to your stick inputs.

What's your OpenLRS config? Do you really need 16 channels? I seem to recall that when using more than 12 or so some are sent less often than others.

Re: Looking for a Taranis programmer to look at my model setup

The guy I am working to set this up for pattern flying was looking for more out of them so we could use the first hole on the servo arm and the top hole on the control horn to minimize torque and still get 30 deg. of control deflection. That would cause a highly non-linear movement and is NOT a goo...

You have to use one of the slider positions for the pot.
The extra switch inputs aren't supported in current OpenTX versions.

I have no idea what sounds FrSky ship with their firmware, but they must be somehow making them on their side since they're different from both OpenTX and ersky9x packs. Probably made with one of the open source TTS engines like what we distribute as stock with OpenTX, they sound bad but all good en...

On 2.1 the settnigs of the Display page are at the bottom of the telemetry page. That was separated in 2.2.
You can also not run the BF lua script on 2.1, only on 2.2.

The connection to the LCD is serial, so it's basically impossible a connection problem would result in broken lines, the whole display would be garbled. Must be on the glass itself.
