Re: Companion 2.2 build options

Avoid using synchronise SD feature at the moment. Do you have the same issues if you do NOT use that function in a session?

Can you supply your file that sometimes casues a crash when opening?

Re: Companion 2.2 build options

You don't say which version of 2.2, nor what you're doing when that happens.

Options have tooltips when you leve the cursor on them.

Re: S.Port output on a Q X7 radio?

A ticket has already been opened for it but with low priority. We now want to release "official" 2.2 before considering non-essential stuff.

The choice is a balance considering screen space availability, eeprom usage and ram usage.

Re: Wireless Trainer Module - Availability?

You can just take an SBUS or PPM receiver and hook it up with a male-male servo cable in the module bay, which is what this does in a slightly cleaner way.

That's the correct way.

Note those controllers can also typically be set to use 988-2012 instead even though not many mention it becasue it requires typing 2 lines in the CLI...

Re: Bin files in Taranis (bootloader startup)

The dates don't change because they are fake files that actually directly map to the microcontroller's flash and to the data EEPROM.
You should never touch them manually, but use the functions provided in companion to read/wite settings and firmware.

You should look at the SWR value as a next step then, that's likely what's triggering it.

Re: "Invalid binary EEPROM" Error Message

Companion 2.1 does not support the X7, you need to use the pre-release version of companion 2.2 to read X7 models, and configure it for the proper radio type first. The current version is RC16 and can be found here. http://www.open-tx.org/2017/04/14/opentx-2.2.0RC16 Read the page as it contains impo...

If you never want a decimal for any announcement you can just delete the "point x" files.

Re: Start a new eeprom file

You don't handle separate models.

You read the entire radio in companion, make your changes (adding a new model being an example), then rewrite to the radio (and save on your PC for good measure as a backup).

Re: How to bind Spectrum Hack Module with JR10X or older radio that doesn't have bind function?

The hack module cannot work with such radios. Only radios that can be flashed with the open source firmwares can make use of it.

Looks like you've got a broken or disconnected cable int he telemtry sensor chain.

2.1 has significant changes to how telemetry is handled and configured. If you're already a bit lost now I wouldn't upgrade.

Telemetry from D8 receivers gets transparently translated to S-Port by the module so it's available there too.

For the Horus the module firmware is part of the FrSky OS, so when you update that your module gets updated to the corresponding version as well.

I don't know about the telemetry display, haven't used FrSky OS much.

Use a microSD card reader to put the firmware file on the radio's card in the FIRMWARES directory and update the firmware and bootloader.
