Well, prolly had read a long time ago not to pay attention to avrdude complaining SCK stuff. But, did the upgrade, which was easy and effective. Now my usbasps work again, with the -B 11 swich...
Thanks for the suggestion,

Re: [PROBLEM] Upgraded my 9X to opentx 2.0, won't write EEPR
All controls have been in default positions when I tried this. Still is a mystery to me why the old usbasps don't work for me anymore. But i did find an old avr isp mkII programmer that worked, so problem solved. At least for now

[PROBLEM] Upgraded my 9X to opentx 2.0, won't write EEPROM
Hello, Yesterday I bit the bullet and upgraded my trusty old 9X from the trusty old opentx (1?) to version 2 and there the latest 2.0.12. I'm on arch linux and had version 6.1 of avrdude when I started, and soon found out the need to downgrade to 5.11. That worked, and I got the firmware uploaded. B...

Re: Offtopic collection and general discussion ;-)
And those are supported by openxvario as well? If so, I stand corrected and agree with you 100%. When you say "hook the FrSky module's output to the OSD", you mean by a cable right? Or bluetooth?
Did I already mention I'm a newbie
But, all this should be doable, right?

Re: Offtopic collection and general discussion ;-)
Well, the vital info missing from openxvario is gps in my opinion. With that, you get lots of info (distance and direction to launch specifically) from diy-osd. And once we go past frsky protocol, might even use the gyro+accelerometer sensor that diy-osd supports for virtual horizon.

Re: Offtopic collection and general discussion ;-)
...forgot to add, that the thinking was that the frsky data could be transmitted from the transmitter via bluetooth to the ground station.

Re: Offtopic collection and general discussion ;-)
Hello, First disclaimer, I'm a total newbie, and don't really know what I'm talking about. With that out of the way, here goes... If one wanted to make a ground based OSD system, would it be possible to utilize these two awesome projects: openXvario and DIY-OSD by Dennis Frie (http://www.rcgroups.co...

Re: T9X mod to use Flysky module, Frysky module and DSMX mod
Sorry, I've obviously not been specific enough, so thanks for bearing with me. The module that I've ordered is the FrSky DHT (DIY) module. And I intend to use the antenna that comes with that module. So what I'm interested in is, what kind of connector will be on the FrSky DHT module antenna, is it ...

Re: T9X mod to use Flysky module, Frysky module and DSMX mod
The thing is, the connector in my link (the cable that I ordered) is different from your link. The cable in your link has a traditional SMA connector, whereas the cable that I ordered has a RP-SMA (aka reverse SMA) connector. Which one is correct, I don't know yet, since my module is still on the sl...

Re: T9X mod to use Flysky module, Frysky module and DSMX mod
Hello, I'm actually thinking of the option 2 you mentioned, since I'd really like the second antenna to be removable. And I already ordered a connector, but now I'm not sure if I ordered a wrong one. This is what I got, since I thought I'd need a RP-SMA connector, but the one you linked is a normal ...

Re: T9X mod to use Flysky module, Frysky module and DSMX mod
Ok, damn. The thing is, I'll be mostly flying with the FrSky module, but occasionally would like to use the original module. A glued antenna in the module seem cumbersome for such a use case. Would it then be possible to find and connect another antenna connector, same as the FrSky antenna uses, to ...

Re: T9X mod to use Flysky module, Frysky module and DSMX mod
All 2.4GHz modules can use the same antenna type, BUT you can't connect one antenna to more than one module at a time. Which is why those who run multiple modules usually have one for each, as otherwise they'd have to move the antenna from one module to the other. For example if you install both a ...
