Re: 9Xtreme speaker hiss

Try decoupling the power supply with a 10mf and a 10nf at the amplifier, that will probably work.
The low impedance output of the amplifier probably excludes pick-up between the amplifier and the speaker.

Re: 9Xtreme speaker hiss

Perhaps a signal diode in the pre-amplifier stage (as used in the original Dolby systems to give a noise gate for hiss) would work, is there a published circuit diagram?

oops! Didn't read the question properly have just got a USBasp and used it for programming an autopilot and an on screen display. I had to load the drivers for windows 7 plus another library to make it work, got carried away my apologies. This might be more helpful: http://stackoverflo...

Re: Programming 9x with USBASP fails, works with Arduino

Depending on your operating system you will need to load drivers an example of how to do this:

For other operating systems you may need other drivers.

If you can't invert the output and input you could always use a 40106 hex inverter for less than a Euro.

A few things you might look at: Some of the resetting on power failure voltage glitches etc is done by a watchdog timer in the main microprocessor, if the shorting / brownout caused the microprocessor to jump into a loop where it is still resetting the watchdog there's a problem it doesn't know its ...

Re: Unexplained link loss, any brand system?

Look for someone using 2.4GHz for video it uses a large part of the bandwidth that's why you can't feasibly use 2.4 GHz for video with 2.4 radio. Someone might be using 2.4 for video with an old 72 MHz set or a long range UHF, so look for that. If someone has massively boosted their 1.2GHz video thi...

Re: Turnigy 9x on Safle Flight Apprentice Rx

It says it fits the Turnigy, and is DSM2 / DSMX , so yes. You will need to remove the existing module which has an aerial wire leaving from the back of it to the internal antennae (if its the version sold by hobbyking). You can just cut the wire if you don't intend to use the module.

Re: HP llap top compatability

I had a plug power supply rated at 12vDC but for some reason I checked the voltage and it was 16Vdc. I did not check it under a load or use it.
An unregulated power supply will float up to a higher voltage with no load.

Re: Turnigy 9x on Safle Flight Apprentice Rx

To control this receiver you need a dsm2 dsmx transmitting module, the module in the stock 9x will not bind with it. You will need to get an orange Tx module or similar: http://hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__24656__OrangeRX_DSMX_DSM2_2_4Ghz_Transmitter_Module_JR_Turnigy_compatible_.html Sorry its n...

You know you can get a jack plug that cuts off the speaker and transfers to headphones so why not just go with speaker and jack plug at no real extra expense.

Re: HobbyKing now offers 9x mainboards and LCDs as spare par

Hmmm... If they have Atmega128 right from the factory, these boards will likely suffer from the horizontal trims issue. So a Ground Fix mod must be done by the user as described in the wiki before using 9x radios with these new boards. Also read this thread: http://openrcforums.com/forum/viewtopic....

I had a Brown flight simulator running in DOS which used to assess the cost of each crash, in tests I found that closing the throttle and pulling up elevator resulted in a series of stalls, the drop between each being less than a full on dive to the ground or straight line flight. The average crash ...

Don't use the limits menu settings min and max but go to the end of the row find the three dotted lines and when over them press menu that will invert all channel operations for the individual model.

It doesn't need to be an arduino a single atmel or pic chip would do the job, the lack of battery however looks a bit suspicious, but with some pen cells or coin cells it's perfectly possible.

You would probably have better luck with epoxy that should hold on in low temperatures.

Yes analogue are as good as digital unless you're a super aerobatic ace or helicopter 3D'er and better for power consumption as well, I've never found the need for servo's so fast and strong and power consuming!
