This has probably been asked elsewhere but can you power the 8XR from the Smart Port or RSSi connection ?

Yes but how do you know what value to set the channels to in C9X i.e. you need the tx and the model working in order to judge where you want the surfaces to be.

I would like elevator, 4 ailerons, 2 flaps and 2 spoilers (9 channels) to deploy as FS, and it would be nice to set it with only a couple of button presses, on some RXs only 1 button press is required. Maybe rcsoar was looking for the same thing as he flies 6 channel sailplanes and maybe bigger for ...

Is it possible to set the FS on all 16 channels with just a couple of button presses on the TX instead of about 50 currently ?

If you set the name of a channel on the limits tab and the channel before it does not have any mixing then both those channels are given the same name.

Also when you upload the EEPROM from the Taranis any GV in mixing weight is set to ---

You have everything incl. power in the module slot, so it seems more reasonable to hook it up there, is there a particular reason to want it on the trainer port?

I want to use FAAST and DSM2 modules and I prefer the idea of not having to plug/unplug them
