Re: Turnigy 9x module short to ground

Thanks, Joao. I lost the u.fl plug after I de-soldered it and had to buy a new one. Didn't want to solder it before I verified that a short is normal.

Turnigy 9x module short to ground

In order to paint my transmitter I had to take out the original module. To take it out I had to de-solder the antenna wire. That's all I did to the module. When it was time to reassemble I decided to put a u.fl plug. After soldering the plug I checked to see if there is a short to ground from the ce...

Re: Er9x128

Have you checked for voltages with a voltmeter yet? -Gohst What voltages should I check? The 5v from the programmer? I know it gets to the chip, the 5v that is. I know it gets to the points where it is supposed to since when I turn the switch on, on the radio, I have a led coming on that is connect...

Re: Er9x128

Ouch! You mean you bought a new TX (and programmer) and then proceeded to do the rotary encoder mod and all the other ones including changing out the M64 for the M128 and at no time in the history of the TX have you applied power to it? Indeed I did Is this your first and only 9x transmitte...

Re: Er9x128

I think my chip is fried. I can't see no shorts under the magnifying glass and I checked the wires from the connector to the board and all is fine yet I get the 'target doesn't answer' error. I don't have the battery installed but I have the encoder installed and the sound module (emartee) installed...

I just saw that the files you linked too, Joao, don't work with the emartee module. :(

Will the one in the first post work with the emartee module?

Is the audio file in the first post the latest? I know it's missing the 'minus' file but otherwise is it OK? Is the a thread where files are stored? Joao had made some files, where can they be found?

Is this problem only with the module that you buy and plug in the back? If I make the Dx4 mod I'm fine?

Good looking, tilmanb. For a faux pas it looks perfect to me. :D And I know it was meant to be lighter on the left side. I know it was not a mistake. It's artistic, right? ;)

Re: WARNING: Known problematic USBASP

I had posted in another thread about my recent experience with these programmers. I had bought one and it has no resistor array at all. It's not from betemcu.cn. It's from Lcsoft Studio. Another one I had just bought had a picture on ebay showing the array to be 100ohm. When I got it the array turne...

Re: Custom Spray

Just looked up 'water transfer printing'. All I can say is 'wow'. That stuff in not cheap. I think I'll stick with the dip method I used for my transmitter. :D

Three cans of paint will last for more transmitters than I can shake a stick at and cost about $12!

Re: Custom Spray

Jim, I think that you'll find that there is always one color that will disperse the other colors. I had the same thing yet in the finish product they all come out OK. I wanted the white to be dominant and it is, on the left transmitter on page 6. After hearing from you about the rush of water into t...

Re: Getting rid of the Hobby King usbasp SCK error

Using WinAVR I now flashed all three programmer with the main.hex. In the programmer pictured above I added two pins where the J2 holes are. Should I have to reflash this programmer I will not have to solder anymore, just add a jumper plug. The other two programmer I had to solder and un-solder the ...

No, I had one a long time ago. I ordered the one in the pic to program the first. It didn't arrive and I got my money back from paypal. I bought another one since I have to reprogram the first. It arrived a few days ago. Today I got the one that was canceled and where paypal gave me my money back. I...

Re: Getting rid of the Hobby King usbasp SCK error

To make a long story short, I now have three programmer and a fourth on it's way. The third one arrived today and is the one in the picture. It has no resistor array and it says V2 on it. The other two have arrays on them. One is an old one and has the 100ohm array and the date is 2009 and one has a...

LTMNO, I just noticed that in the picture in your first post you have the red wire form the pot going to the bottom contact, #5, and the black to the top, #1. In your picture of the finished board, on page 3, the red is on the top and the black on the bottom. Which way is the correct way? OH MAN, ju...

On both my radios I drilled some holes in front of the speaker.. It makes a difference.. What voice module do you have? If it supports the connection for the buzzer signal, then yes, you should remove the buzzer.. João I'm doing the Audio mod that started this thread, the emartee board. I would hav...

I don't know what kind of a jpg you had in mind but that I'm doing is use SketchUp. It's a free 3d cad from Google and it has a lot of add-ons from a big community among them is a gcode generator inside SketchUp. It's form the same people at the PhlatPrinter place. It's a free add-on and that is wha...

As I've told LTMNO, I have a PhlatPrinter III. When I bought it two years ago it was about $950 for the first 30 people or so. I'm not sure what it goes for today. I can cut a 27" wide material, mainly foam, and endlessly long. One guy is building an electric car and made the proof of concept f...
