Re: Cross trimming on Taranis
I just received my Taranis and found the following with cross trims. FrSky Taranis with OpenTx In setting the model channels to use cross trims I found they are not fully functioning cross trims. In cross trims, the old throttle trim becomes the elevator trim. However, the throttle trim behavior, no...

Re: er9x development
One minute is a long interval for everything except a transmitter battery on timer. On average the inacturacy will be 1/2 a minute which is fine for this application. The battery on timer is system wide and not per model and can be in a reserved area in EEPROM for only that purpose.

Re: er9x development
iflyj3: This has been brought up before, the problem is recording the time. It needs to be stored in the EEPROM, but as we do not have a software controlled shutdown, it needs to be written frequently, or it will become inaccurate. The problem then is if we write to the EEPROM too often, it will we...

Re: er9x development
Request. I have been using the ACE MicroPro8000 transmitters for years. In firmware the MP8K has a battery timer that accumulates the total on time of the transmitter. This timer is manually reset by the user when the battery is charged. As you know a voltage reading is not a good indication of the ...

Re: Cross trims
FWIW, I tried the solution suggested: CH01: +100% AIL NOTRIM +25% GV1 - where GVAR1 is set to Rtm This does work. However, one problem with it is the T-Trim on page 2 of SETUP does not go to the new TTM function (Now it is the old ETM switch). I vote for cross trims to be a radio function. You fello...

Cross trims
I have searched but can not find if the ER9X allow cross trims. I am used to flying with cross trims and find them very handy in trimming out a plane especially on its first flight. Cross trims are where the current elevator trim becomes the throttle trim and vice versa. The rudder and aileron trims...

Re: DM9 problem in the 9X
Actually the pins in the 9x are thinner. If you slightly bend the pins to one side they will make contact. -Gohst My calipers measure the pins to be .025 inches square, the same as other transmitters. You may get by, by bending the pins as you say, but the connection will be unreliable. The pins ar...

DM9 problem in the 9X
A word of caution. I have a Turnigy 9X and a FlySky 9X. I use the Orange RF deck and the FlYSky RF deck with no problems. I plugged in a Spektrum JR DM9 RF deck and bound it to the receiver. I noticed that intermittently the system would quit working. I was lucky to notice the LED on the RF deck was...

Re: Open9X and Smartieparts boards
Thanks all, I down loaded the latest firmware with the Sp22 and telemetrEZ options in companion9X and that fixed those problems.

Open9X and Smartieparts boards
I have both a Turnigy and FlySky 9X transmitters with Smartieparts programmer/backlight (levles 2.2 and 2.3), TelemetrEZ boards. Open9X works fine with two exceptions. 1) The back light will not work. It may have something to do with the Programmer board. The light works fine with ER9Z. 2) It will n...

Re: Buddy box using ER9X
I've just tested this, and it seems to work as it should. As master, power on and plug in trainer cable, the trainer input is high. When you configure as a master, with the trainer cable in, is the transmitter otherwise working correctly controlling the servos? Mike. Found the problem. I Didn't hav...

Buddy box using ER9X
Using a Turnigy 9X and a FlySky 9X with Smartieparts programmer board and the Telemetry FrSky interface with ER9X FrSky NHT. As as slave I plug in the buddy cable and on the scope I see PPM signal and moving the sticks, it looks OK. As a master, switch on and plug in the buddy cable, I see constant ...
