Re: Turnigy Evolution Digital Proportional Radio

To be honest.. i would be really interested in a really small "capable" transmitter. Something to take to holiday, more compact than my Taranis. But only if it would have a comparable FW installed on it.

Re: ACS712 current sensor

here is the "old" image from the add-on capacitor that was previously added to the acs current sensor: ACS712WithCapacitor.JPG the capacitor used was a small 47nF SMD capacitor. Don't know if it is still required for "today's" versions, put it greatly reduced noise at that time.....

Re: A tool to generate voice files using various TTS providers

Thanks Joao, i had a look, but it seems to be partly wrong ( at least for the german language). But i found an overview (in a different format though) in the actual downlaod directory under http://voices-21.open-tx.org/opentx-sky9x/de/ i converted it manually to a valid phrase file (for openTX in ge...

Re: Building TWI(I2C)-sensors for openXsensor with ADS1115

I like the idea of building it modular as well. i did something similar for one of my oXs builds some time ago. Ii chose to make the current sensor exchangable. So i added a small 4pin mini JST connector to the oXs. This offers the possibility to measure the current and the battery voltage. oXsModul...

Hi Guys! i haven't been active for quite some time on the oXs coding, but it's really good to see it still growing. Even though i do not have the time for coding these days, i had an idea already quite some time ago, and maybe somebody wants to pick it up.. Most of the config is still done in the wa...

Re: Merging/expanding OpenXVario branches

The main intention when i restarted from oXv to oXs was to seperate the various code pieces into individual classes. the communication to the groundstation was seperated from the sensor logic. So in general i would recommend to create new classes for different telemetry protocols as the main oXs cod...

Re: Introduction to the openx vario/altimeter

yes, possible, but the resolution would suffer as you would have to scale all 3 voltage dividers to the highest possible voltage of the highest cell. this wouldn't be the best resolution if you are just interested in e.g. 2.7..4.3v

Re: Introduction to the openx vario/altimeter

voltage measurements are being done against the internal voltage ref. think it was a 1.1v source. what i meant above was that using voltage diividers for the single cells, we would end up having the actual cell voltage for the first cell, the summ of cell1+2 for the 2nd cell 1+2+3 for the third one ...

Re: Introduction to the openx vario/altimeter

Hi Reinhard,
you cannot add your balance connector directly via a voltage divider.
or at least it would not result in the expected readings, as all readings would be the voltage related to GND, not to the previous cell.

There is a list of telemetry data I have in the "advancement of telemetry protocol" thread..

No actually i was thinking the protocol would be open and it obviously is not. The source of the great openTX is open, but the actual new telemetry seems to be a locked down closed standard. This leaves a bad taste somehow.

Yes, the sink tones have been removed lately from openTX for the stock board, as they have been not that useful.
the 2 values left can be used to configure the tone range for the tones when rising.
