Re: having issues with USBASP driver

Hi João, This mod is only for the "reverse polarity protection": (http://openrcforums.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=126&t=7745). With this mod "PPM protection resistor" is good to do also: (http://openrcforums.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=126&t=8778). So your "reverse polarity protection" project mod also ...

Re: having issues with USBASP driver

OK, then no need to repair the 5v circuit.
If you do go for the AR9x, you may want to get with it, the Back-Light and the DS3231 Real-Time-Clock Module
(http://ar9x.net/index.php?route=product ... duct_id=50).

Re: having issues with USBASP driver

Hi Smoke47, I to, think to the AR9x upgrade board is a much better option. You should consider this option, as it will makes your old broke 9x radio a lot more which you will like a lot better. I can see in your photo that your 5v cap is smoked and maybe the only thing that needs to be replaced. Do ...

Re: having issues with USBASP driver

Hi Smoke47, If you are looking at new radio options, best to look for one that uses erSky9x firmware which is better then er9x. I have the FrSky Taranis which I use erSky9x firmware in it and when connecting to your PC, you would use eepSkye instead of eepe. The Taranis has good hardware and most of...

Re: ArduVoice-9x Voice Module with Arduino for the 9x Radio

Hi mackem54, What Mike says about there maybe a bad connection is a real possibility. To add, I have had a wire to be bad as there was a place in the wire that was only the plastic insulation (no wire at all). Also I have had a defective wire, where as when bent a particular way, had a break in the ...

Re: ArduVoice-9x Voice Module with Arduino for the 9x Radio

Hi mackem54,
I have never done the DJT mods, I run the telemetry wires through the back case and connect them to the the modules.
I have yet to (hope to some day) do the upgrade Ar9x board to a 9x radio (http://www.ar9x.net/).
João and or Mike B. can better say what you would need to do.

I use erSky9x firmware on my Taranis, so opentx has a few differences. Suggestions:
1) Maybe go back to erSky9x to see if D-Series (PPM protocol) DJT telemetry still works when using erSky9x firmware.
2) Purchase the XJT module to be able to try PXX protocol.

You may want to upgrade your Gimbals to the M9 Gimbals.

There are two different radios, the old one is called the 9XR and the newest one is called the 9XR-Pro.

The 9XR comes with er9x firmware and the 9XR-Pro comes with erSky9x firmware.

You can the use BMP folder in the opentx SD card and change the "BMP" folder name to "IMAGES" to use them in your erSky9x Taranis radio. .bmp images will work with erSky9x.
