Re: Frsky X Series
Because someone might want frsky as their main system and use also other protocols externally. That's my reason, I use Frsky for aircraft, then I have a DSM module and a Flysky one for indoor/parkfly models (where full range an proper antenna isn't needed). I like to minimise module plugging, so pr...

Re: 9Xtreme vs Taranis
You mentioned internal module... of course you can install a DHT inside the 9X and a XJT or DJT on the outside. Cheers. I have a DHT internally at the moment, the module bay being used for different non-Frsky radios with a switch to select between them. On the 9Xtreme that's supported with soft swi...

Frsky X Series "Hack" module
Hi,
I know that Frsky don't make an X series hack module, there's no XHT. However I wondered whether anyone had taken an XJT to bits and used it in that way. I'd be interested in how it worked out.

I should add that what I'd really like to understand is the integration between radio and module, does the Taranis do anything that the 9Xtreme+XJT doesn't do?

9Xtreme vs Taranis
Hi, Sorry if this one's been done to death, but I'm trying to choose between adding the 9Xtreme board into my 9X, vs buying a new Taranis. If I go the 9Xtreme route, with an XJT module, will I be giving up any function over the Taranis with it's built-in module? The functions I'm interested in are ....

Re: openTx Vs er9x, is any of the two better?
Thanks, I'll have a read through that. As I say I can't remember why I switched from ER9X to Open9x in the first place. Where I'm at just now is that I'm wondering whether to go for the 9Xtreme upgrade (which I think is supported only by ER9X) or for the Taranis (supported by both?)

Re: openTx Vs er9x, is any of the two better?
I was thinking of posting something along the lines of this original question. However now that someone's already done so, would this be the correct place to ask what the key differences are between OpenTX and the ER9X family? I started on ER9X (on a 9X), and swapped quite a long time ago to Open9x ...

Where to download eepSKYe for Windows?
Hi, This is such a basic question I'm sure I must be missing something. Everything I've looked at points to the same place for ER9X and all it's derivatives ( http://www.er9x.com ). On that page there are all the firmware versions, both ER9X and ERSKY9X for different hardware. Down the bottom there ...

Hi all...does some of you guys uses 2 tx modules on your transmitter ? I do. Internal Frsky DHT module uses the antenna on the top of the case. CH02 (+100%) Ele * (+50%) P1 Switch(ELE) noTrim Offset (100%) I don't think in this case it particularly helps to use a virtual channel, although this works as we...

How to make a Pot return positive values only
Hi, Is there a way to set one of the Pots to provide positive values only to a mix? I want to use the pot to scale some outputs using a Multiply mix, but I don't want negative values that would reverse the control. Ideally I'd want fully anticlockwise to be 0 and fully clockwise to be 100%. Thanks, ...

Open 9X - Timer % something other than Throttle?
Hi, I like the TH% timer for electric models, where the power drawn relates to the amount of throttle used. However that relationship doesn't always hold. Is it possible to relate the timer to any other channel? An example might be where you have forward/reverse so that throttle in the middle is act...

Re: Open 9X uncommanded throttle after tx powered off/on

Firstly because it seems to be only once in every four or five tests, and secondly when it does so the receiver goes into bind mode briefly. I will check with another receiver wh...

Sorry for a basic question, but to use this board do you select the Frsky version of Open9X or er9X, or does it need a special version? I'm not clear whether this board does the "pin swapping" needed by the normal DIY Frsky mod, or whether it makes it unnecessary by passing the data via a ...

More often than not higher gain requires high directionality, meaning that you need to point the antenna at the model at all ti...
