Re: Play value
Awesome - would have not thought of that - I can assume that the switch that it is under is played in sequence working down the page. - Thanks for your help. Maybe somewhere in the future that could be an option.

Play value
opentx 2.3.14 couple of questions for the play value statement - is there any way to associate a prefix to the value that is played to further clarify its purpose, in case multiple play value statements are used. Ex - if I use a telemetry fuel value - the radio will only state "twenty five perc...

Re: RAS - SWR - VSWR
I would agree with you on that statement, but having been caught with one onboard module and a xjt module issue it would be nice to at least know if the module is providing full output. Tpicaly the radio should provide around 20db. In the past i had a faulty 2 modules that had a rf degradation provi...

Re: RAS - SWR - VSWR
I have tried that - running a screen for some items now but when I go to set the source RAS is not listed in the choice list. I get all the switches, GV, telemetry, logical switches - pretty well everything possible except RAS.

Re: RAS - SWR - VSWR
ahhhh - perfect - its zero - does vary when near hand - so it somewhat works. Somewhere i read that it is only a approximation - still better than nothing. now I am sure you know the next question that i am to ask - how can i display in the simplest form (telemetry screen?) - hopefully without getti...

RAS - SWR - VSWR
Taranis X9D+, RAS or whatever the new radio term for antenna VSWR, I have upped the radio to the latest version of open 2.3.14 and noticed that lately I do not have RAS or SWR presented on the radio anywhere. Its not discovered automaticaly or shown in the telemetry pages. In the radio firmware buil...

Logic settings and voice announcements
Hi - Question about logic and presentation, i have been struggling with how to just play a value regardless of condition trigger. My dilemma - example - fuel 0,25,50 and so on. If i set the logic condition of; L1~Fuel 0 L2~Fuel 25 L3~Fuel 50 L4~Fuel 75 L5~Fuel 100 Currently I assign a custom play tr...

Re: ADC inputs for vcc measurement
ooooo man - forgot all about the define statements in the basic config - lol, awesome thank you for the clarification. With these many input options for large models you can actually have real time feedback from movable surfaces if you add a pot to each servo or surface. For servo analysis to some i...

ADC inputs for vcc measurement
hopefully quick question, I had success in setting up most of the feedback that i would like to receive except for the ADC port(s). I currently utilize a capacitive fuel sensing setup and i drive the o/p with PWM through a cap to generate vcc to show fuel indication. This technique worked fine with ...

Re: Hub sensors direct connect diy
sorry that i did not mention you Mike but you gave me that exact answer a while ago and yes I obtained few varios for my x-receivers that allow the hub to pass data through - thank you happy with that, at the moment i am trying to outfit my d-receivers.

Re: Hub sensors direct connect diy
yes I did investigate the arduino path, so far I stayed with the hub due to its simplicity and multi input support. I have built hall rpm sensors and capacitive fuel sensors for my planes which makes it enjoyable and predictable when flying. Plug in a 5 dollar neo gps head and i was in business. Thi...

Hub sensors direct connect diy
Once again I would like to consult the knowledge gurus - why? since frsky has dropped the original line of sensors for the first gen hub telemetry, it is beginning to be a challenge of compatible replacement. After reading some information on the openXsensor, I have picked up some modules hoping tha...

Re: Old hub (FSH-01) to X8r receiver
Thanks Mike - I will have to give that a try. Purpose of the question was that I still like my nitro, and all my tanks have fuel sensors that I have built and use to overcome consumption guessing. I have not seen a new fuel sensor from sky ever since FGS-01. Sadly, i didn't have a chance to obtain o...

Old hub (FSH-01) to X8r receiver
Is there a way that I could connect the old hub FSH-01 to the new X8r receiver to pass on sensor data telemetry? S-port interface I would have to guess. I have many old hubs and sensors that I have built up over time and would like to still use them in the future on my 9xr pro DJT if possible. Seems...

Re: 9xr pro - opentx 2.1 telemetry
yes - i did set those - for engine and rssi i have set repeat every 2 sec, and for alt and fuel its every 15. and it seems its my fault - apparently the alerts that i have created for some reason do not play. Funny it seemed to play when i first tested them but no matter thats just another challenge...

9xr pro - opentx 2.1 telemetry
Some questions for you on telemetry utilization on the PRO. I have been running opentx now for awhile and recently upgraded from the 9xr to the pro radio capable of voice. I have set up the voice to my best ability utilizing the taranis examples, but it is somewhat difficult at times since taranis i...

Speaker holder mod for the pro
looking a while ago i noticed a mod done by Mnemennth to stimulate the sound that comes out of the 9xr pro. To simplify the installation i decided to print one out and see how it improves on the quality. If you have access to a 3d printer (some libraries have them I have been told) here is what it c...

I modified this 1 to unload some tension on the sharp corners for vinyl application purposes. I have observed that it tends to lift on sharp corners and sometimes needs to be persuaded back down.

Re: 9XR/9XR pro faceplate mod
if you print 1 there are few things to to consider - first cut the center 2 bottom standoffs to your preference fit and the second is heat mold once in position. new face covered heat mold.jpg I heat these areas one at a time from the back side until the plastic becomes soft and i install the plate ...

Re: 9XR/9XR pro faceplate mod
just the 3d - right over the print - just to prove the concept hence you can see some of the 3d print roughness coming through the vinyl application, but it still turned out not half bad. I printed it out of a-pla plastic and I use 3mm filament with 0.5mm nozzle yelding not the smoothest finish. The...

Re: 9XR/9XR pro faceplate mod
ok - I have finally rebuilt my printer, Installed the Taranis gimbals, realigned the final plate measurements for best fit and as luck would have it, vinyl covering came in. So I had a crack at that job, seems a bit harder than what youtube states but it is doable if you can live with few creases. A...

Re: 9xr pro rf deck
maybe i was looking at another resistor - the one i replaced was across the fet from (source to drain), but i will revisit it soon, determined to make it work. I wish i could find a schematic of it, would definitely ease the troubleshooting. Thanks again.

Re: 9xr pro rf deck
how would that work anyway - considering that the resistor is 1/4 if not an 1/8 watt in line with a regulator capable of 1.5 amps. Even if you draw 0.5 amps you still smoke the resistor unless the mosfet is being pwm at a rate which allows a very small time for the resistor to be in cct by itself fo...

Re: 9xr pro rf deck
that 1 i replaced but assumptions had me largely out of tolerance - R100 - thought it was 100 ohms not 0.1. Although if i short out R9, Q2 becomes irrelevant anyway since it parallels the drain to source of the mosfet anyway. Thank you for your info !!

9xr pro rf deck
would anyone have any information on the smd transistors located on the rf deck - especially Q2 (to start with) - i would like to guess that it is a fet but what would be a good replacement. I was messing with the radio trying out some mods and accidentally shorted the feed to the the 5v reg input (...
