Re: Taranis X9D (original one). Cant get into bootloader.

Not expert on Taranis by any means, but first thing I would try is downloading it again in case you have a corrupted copy. Check size and checksum of both files and if different, clear your download cache (google "clear cache [your browser]") and keep downloading it until they match. There...

Re: Taranis wont bind to FrSky XM+ Reciever

Thanks. OK, Got it sorted now. As it was much easier to flash the XJT module, I flashed that to the latest Non-EU firmware. Bingo! Now binds and works OK. Now I know its not hardware, I will flash both to latest EU LBT firmware as that seems to be the better option from a quick look at the LBT proto...

Re: XSR and the Taranis X9D binding issues

I just been thorough something similar. Again, it was a firmware thing. My old original Taranis XJT module had old EU firmware and the XM+ receiver had old non EU (FCC) firmware. I purchased my quad with receiver from GearBest. I'm still waiting for an intelligent response from them and its now a fe...

Re: original taranis firmware 1.something.

If one has an old boot loader then - place firmeare on SD card (using a PC and card reader) - sd card in tx - use SD Card screen and browse to the file - long press enter on the file - select "Flash bootloader" Thats the thing. The old firmware on the Taranis does not have a bootloader an...

Re: original taranis firmware 1.something.

Hello Kilah. It is possible and I dont think the latest FrSky receivers will work with the old firmware on your Taranis. (can someone correct me if I'm wrong?). Its possible but it can be a pain. I just did it to mine. I have a D9X from about 2 months after it was released. I put the RC hobby on hol...

Taranis wont bind to FrSky XM+ Reciever

Hello Guys. I recently upgraded my Old Original Taranis to Open-TX Firmware to v2.2.1 That seems to be working great. I now have a boot loader and access to more stuff. I loaded the lua, non-EU version as I want to play with GPS plotting later and I live in Australia. In the mean time, I purchased a...

Re: Taranis X9D (original one). Cant get into bootloader.

I try not to let M$ do anything automatically on my PC's. Auto updates can be the cause of all sorts of problems. I usually allow updates to go ahead after about a month if there has not been an uproar about them causing issues, and then only selectively. Years ago I Spent too many hours on clients ...

Re: Taranis X9D (original one). Cant get into bootloader.

All sorted. Thanks again. I gave up trying on my high end Windows 10 PC (Win 10 really needs its USB drivers completely revised IMHO). I'm sure I could off got it working eventually but it was smooth sailing once I switched to my 6 year old laptop with minimal installed c**p and Win7 Bootloader is w...

Re: Taranis X9D Plus No Bootloader mode or Firmware Upgrades

My problem was a little simpler than that. The Original Taranis (my Taranis with version 1.1.02 firmware) didnt come with a bootloader.
I've solved my issue with some help from this forum. Thanks to jtaylor I now have a old original Taranis X9D with 2.2.1 0013 firmware.

Re: Taranis X9D (original one). Cant get into bootloader.

Thanks heaps. I was starting to wonder if I was going nuts as I coudlnt find anything in the manual about how to got into it (all 4 pages of the manual I got)! No Bootloader on my version. Well, that makes a lot more sense. I'll try out what you suggest tonight and let you know how I go. Thanks agai...

Taranis X9D (original one). Cant get into bootloader.

Hello. I purchased my Taranis back when they very first came out (2012 or 2013?) Due to reasons of changing lifestyle, I never really got to play with it at the time. Now I'm getting back into RC and I need to upgrade the firmware. Its still 1.1.02 However, I cant get the Taranis to go into bootload...
