Re: FrSky DHT Module With Telemetry - Anybody Tried It?

Quick update. Tested it again tonight and even on the default settings it's fine? May be had a strange bit of interference last night as I powered both the Tx and Rx on and off a few times last night while testing? Still be interested to know if anyone else has ever had similar though - I did think ...

Re: 9XR-PRO Hacks and Fixes

I have to agree. When I was looking at changing the gimbals in mine I looked into the M9 but decided I didn't want to hack both my radio and the gimbal to get it to fit so went for the PR10 gimbals and I'm more than happy with the way they work. Are they the latest thing with hall sensors? No, but t...

Re: FrSky DHT Module With Telemetry - Anybody Tried It?

Strange thing happened while I was setting up the rudder and elevator on my BAe Hawk last night. Bound the D8R-XP to the DHT fine, plugged in the rudder and elevator servos and powered up the receiver and the servo's went crazy! A lot more than just jitter, more like 50% swing about centre on all 3 ...

Re: Banggood 4in1 module, Flysky AFHDS2A and Telemetry

The tick is solid at the right of FasV in the logging menu.

Have tried another receiver/sensor and I still see the same problem with the voltage flicking back to 0.0.

No scripts running at all, in fact the test I've just done has nothing other than a bound receiver and sensor.

Just tested on 222a4 and it's still the same. Fast flickering between 16v and 0.0v.

Re: Banggood 4in1 module, Flysky AFHDS2A and Telemetry

The FasV on the AFHDS2A receivers is populated from a different telemetry source to the FrSky ones. Probably where the difference is coming in.
I've just found the new 222a4 release (hadn't realised the test thread was live again) so have uploaded that and will give it a test now...

Re: Banggood 4in1 module, Flysky AFHDS2A and Telemetry

What sensor do you have on the plane? João This one has the FlySky AVT-01 voltage sensor. Same one I've used on a couple of others. Need to do a test on my plane with the CVT-01 voltage sensor and see if that performs differently but that may have to wait until morning as it's buried in the hangar :)

Re: Banggood 4in1 module, Flysky AFHDS2A and Telemetry

Did a quick test tonight after doing a bit of rewiring on one of the planes and decided to put a low pack voltage alarm in place. I've noticed that the FasV value seems to be flickering quite a bit. I can almost make out it flicking down to 0.0 but it happens so quick it's hard to tell properly. I'v...

Re: FrSky DHT Module With Telemetry - Anybody Tried It?

Well, I think it was a successful install! Ideally I need to get an antenna with a longer fly lead attached but that's not too much of a problem, just hard over the Easter weekend so won't have the replacement until Monday. I did a quick test on the mode switch that comes with the DHT module and for...

Re: FrSky DHT Module With Telemetry - Anybody Tried It?

Oh, there is something I still didn't do to my PRO :) Actually, I have a few mods for this radio that I want to try. - Internal module with RF power switch for both modules, controlled bu the firmware. as all my other radios. - Safe main power switch. It will keep the radio ON even if the main swit...

FrSky DHT Module With Telemetry - Anybody Tried It?

I'm possibly going to put a FrSky DHT module inside my 9XR-Pro as I want to be able to keep using my Multimodule in the bay but the addition of the genuine module will be handy. I'm going to try and use the internal antenna in the handle for it too, or at least one that will connect to the DHT and f...

Re: Banggood 4in1 module, Flysky AFHDS2A and Telemetry

Got it and tested. Seems to be reading right now on both voltage sensors.

Thanks for your work on this Mike - makes a massive difference working with kit that I know as well as learning the ins and outs of the FrSky stuff I've got now.

Re: Banggood 4in1 module, Flysky AFHDS2A and Telemetry

OK, the voltage seems ever stranger... I checked my scalers and I had indeed left one in there taking the data from T1 and scaling it and I'd inadvertently left it's destination as VOLTS. So I was seeing the voltage information from the CVT01 sensor AND the scaler from T1 too. Now here's the odd thi...

Re: Banggood 4in1 module, Flysky AFHDS2A and Telemetry

The IDs are "little endian" so are 0100 and 0103. I don't process the 0103 one, so if you are seeing a value displayed with the CVT01, I'm not sure why this is. It seems you have the FasV value being filled in from somewhere else, do you have a scaler set up to write to the FasV value? I'll add cod...

Re: DIY Transmitter Tray - Thumb Friendly

I left version 3 printing over night (version 2 was ok, but allowed me to put the finishing touches to it and tweak the strengthening parts) and I think this is the one I'm going with as the "one that works". I added a flat plate that pushes in at the bottom of the radio and holds the front in by li...

Re: Banggood 4in1 module, Flysky AFHDS2A and Telemetry

Sometimes I love how that happens when you get the DDOS stick after posting! I'll try that again... Voltage Sensors.zip Looking at the raw logs I have just noticed that the sensor ID comes through different between the sensors though. The AVT01 identifies as 0001 and the CVT01 as 0301. They do read ...

Re: Banggood 4in1 module, Flysky AFHDS2A and Telemetry

Here you go Mike. Two raw logs - one with the FS-AVT01 which reads seemingly to a more accurate decimal level so has the decimal point one digit too far right and one with the FS-CVT01 which reads to a single decimal point but flicks around a bit. I have just had a thought though as I've typed that....

Re: Banggood 4in1 module, Flysky AFHDS2A and Telemetry

DIY Transmitter Tray - Thumb Friendly

I found that using the neck strap from my other radio (Turnigy i10) the extra weight of the 9XR-PRO was adjusting the strap and by the end of the flight I'd end up with the strap doing very little. I also found that during flight I struggled to get onto the elevator trim with my left hand (I always ...

I've setup my module to use your ID 7375be3b. From there I've power cycled at least 30 times my receiver with a servo sweep running on the radio. I haven't got a single issue where you usually get one in less than 10 tries... This is pointing in my eyes to an issue on the RX(s). Do you have the har...

M9 gimbal are EXTREMELY hard to put in, pr-10 gimbal reduces stick movement in the corners due to the faceplate (fixable). Considering trying these, www.digikey.com/product-detail/en/parallax-inc/27808/27808-ND/4700913 I wish the datasheet had dimensions. Looks very promising though. Anybody down t...

The DDOS filter is definitely still causing problems if you're writing a long post or a post that you are taking a few minutes to finish. OK, test set up with transmitter around 18 inches from the receiver. First test was full strength with my custom GUID multi firmware and I could not get it to fail. Flashed the stock GUID firmware and managed to get a fail to occur. While this was happening I switched on range check and although the...
