Re: Analog speed sensor drifting maybe a idea...

Yes I know that I have to protect the pitot tube. This version will be for my friend. I will personnaly use a MS4525, I tried it and there is absolutely no issue... I also used the ppm signal in my tests and it works great after all the drifts. Apparently I'm not the only one to have seen the drift ...

Re: Analog speed sensor drifting maybe a idea...

hello, Thanks for the answer. After the drop from 206mV to 202 the voltage is stable. That's why I suspected the ADS1115. Yes you're right 6km/h drift is not so bad especially if become very tiny with speed increasing. (0.5km/h a 100km/h as you told). So do you think I should keep my modification ba...

Re: Analog speed sensor drifting maybe a idea...

Hello ! I used a DVM to perform some tests. I power the arduino with a 2S LiPo to be sure to have a voltage over 5V on entry of the arduino. It appears that the sensor voltage is around 206.5mV on startup and quickly drops around 202mV. That's for the first part of the drift. it gives around -10 km/...

Analog speed sensor drifting maybe a idea...

Hello, I recently read a MPX5700DP analog sensor on the arduino via oXs on an analog pin of the arduino. There is absolutely no drift in the measure. I also used a MPXV7002 sensor and a MPX5010DP sensor later on the ADS1115 converter to calculate airspeed. Both suffered drifting. So as we discussed ...

Re: MPX5010DP

Hello, Thanks ofr the fast answer. I followed tour calculation to understand. So if I'm not wrong (hem... not sure...) : My sensor has a sensitivity of 1 mV/mmH2O <-> 1mV/9.80665Pa <-> 0.1019mV/Pa. If I take a full range at 4096mV I will have : m/sec =sqrt( 2 * 287.05 * 4096 / (0.1019*32768) * smoot...

MPX5010DP

Hello, A friend of mine made some time ago a speed sensor with a MPX5010DP. It's an analog sensor like the MPXV7002DP but it can go faster and it's cheaper than the 4525DO-DS5AI001DP. Do you think it could be integrated ? I have the link to the datasheet https://www.nxp.com/docs/en/data-sheet/MPX501...

Re: Reading analog pressure withMPX5700DP

All good !

I started to look inside the jeti.h file to find how the decimals are attributed. That was close ;)

Once again thank you !

Re: Reading analog pressure withMPX5700DP

Hello, Thanks for the fast and clear answer. So I can mesure my pressure now on my Jeti, but I still get only integers and °C. Can I change that ? I use VOLT_1 and A0. Here is a part of my config file. If you can help... Thank you again Guillaume // ***** 2.4 - Jeti data ***** #define VOLTAGE_SOURCE...

Reading analog pressure withMPX5700DP

Hello everybody ! I'd like to monitor the landing gear air pressure on my radio. For that I have a MPX5700DP sensor. I could probably use my own program but I'd like to use OXS for that, in order tu use also my GPS and altimeter. Do anybody know how I could read this analog information ? I looked fo...

Re: Possible to integrate GY87 in OpenXSensor ?

Hello, My mistake I think there is a bad contact on my breadboard. I made better contacts and it's much better. That's why I edited my post ;) Thanks for all. I should get my Gy86 (the Gy87 was a mistake from the seller) and I'll try it also. For information we are a bunch of modelers who want some ...

Hello,

Job done ! No more drift on startup, I think you can integrate it.

Merci !

Re: Possible to integrate GY87 in OpenXSensor ?

Hello, For me there is no bug appart from something strange. When I use a MS5611 I have 0m of relative altitude on startup. If I use a BMP180 or the GY87 I get around -20m offset. I tried to see in the CPP file but the altitude calculation coefficients seem to be the same for MS5611 and BMP180. I tr...

Possible to integrate GY87 in OpenXSensor ?

Hello,

I just got a bunch of GY87 sensors... With the BMP180 onboard do you think it could be integrated to the project ?

Thanks for all !

Could you please tell me what is dte vario ? I see that everywhere but I still don't know what it is. I wi...

Re: Issue with Jeti and MPXV7002 and ADS1115

Hello, I'll try this evening the reset from the radio (if I understand well a simple switch with +100/-100% travel is enough), I'll also try to change the entries of the ADS1115. I'll also see if I declare a MS4525 if it's better. It will probably give wrong values but I'll see if there is a drift. ...

Re: Issue with Jeti and MPXV7002 and ADS1115

Hello, I have around -10km/h. It starts at 0 and drifts to -10 in about 15seconds and is quite stable. I tried with and without the filter (I hope I plug it well...) and I also tried to change the offset of the Vcc/2 on A1 with a 3 pins 20KOhm potentiometer instead of the 2 10KOhm resistors. So with...

Thank you again !

Issue with Jeti and MPXV7002 and ADS1115

Hello , Firts thank you for this exceptionnal project !I managed to display on my Jeti DS16 the variometer, the temp and the altitude (with MS5611, IMU6050) but I have a problem with the airspeed. I have a ADS1115 and a MPXV7002 that I configured (I hope) like in the description file. My problem is ...
