Re: Flash RX with simple transmitter firmware

Rob, I don't remember seeing that topic, and I was very involved in testing and building my own receivers from Midelic's project. An alternative would be to build your own multimodule using only an arduino pro mini and a CC2500 RF module. This is what the frsky compatible receivers use. You don't n...

Flash RX with simple transmitter firmware

Hi Guys

I believe there was a topic on this a few years back but I cannot find it!

Essentially I am looking for a firmware option to convert a small frsky clone receiver into an frsky transmitter.

Essentially to make a wireless head-tracker.

Anyone have any ideas?

Problems posting files..

Hi Guys

Had a few reports come in with problems posting files on the forum.

I tracked the problem down to a fault within the antivirus software.

Please try now and let me know if resolved!

Try again - may need to refresh your tapatalk app.

This is due to the site being updated to use SSL by default.

Re: Problem with forum. Repeatedly "signed off"

Hi Guys

I have put in what I believe might be a fix.

The issue is related to how the forum security interacts with the cloudflare caching system. Sometimes it does not behave!

This may be related to cloudflare.

I will see if I can find out why.

Oh I love this comment. - Which leads me to the outright theft of the intellectual property shown in the V1 Taranis which is obviously a physical copy of a Spectrum radio. - Maybe the user should stop making unfounded comments. Pretty sure that back in here day the molds where purchased from Jr who ...

Re: FAA Unmanned Aircraft Systems Registration 2015

It's all about risk. Check this video. https://youtu.be/b3IV8GTFdgA Is it risky? Consider that it is flown with a quad that weighs a massive 40g with battery. It uses low power brushed motors. They do not have any torque on them and a blade of grass stops them at full speed. So what is more risky? F...

Re: FAA Unmanned Aircraft Systems Registration 2015

The issue is more that you did not have any frame of reference on which to make the judgement of the height and trajectory. You essentially have a blue sky and a plane of x size to make am estimate on. Totally inaccurate. Now.. Don't get me wrong here. I personally believe that spotter less fpv shou...

Re: FAA Unmanned Aircraft Systems Registration 2015

I have to disagree with you. Your view point is typical of the view held by those who do not fly fpv. Unfortunately it is flawed with lack of fpv experience. Regarding depth perspective. With fpv you have no more and no less than with a normal aircraft. To understand this you need to realise that de...

Maybe that is the case... But when your pcb form factor is the same as the tinywhoop one.. What else is the plan?

Well.. it started as a review of the Review of the XMF3E Frsky Brushed Flight Controller

The Frsky XMF3E is Frsky’s entry into the world of tiny whoop flight controllers. There are a number of superb flight controllers for the frsky protocol – all of them using the hacked D8 protocol; so I was excited to be giving the opportunity to try the new XMF3E. Frsky are clearly wanting a slice o...

The Frsky S8R receiver is a convenient fully integrated 8-channel frsky receiver with built in flight stabilisation. Re: RE: Re: FrSky Taranis Q X7 Radio

I don't like the fact that this radio has only 32Kb eeprom like the Taranis. I doubt you will fit 60 normal models in it. I would have thought that frsky would have corrected some mistakes on this one.. But so far the only really good thing they did on this one compared to their older radio, was to...

Mini quads are big. Fasted growing part of the hobby.

This sort of set makes sense for people who only fly them. Especially the gamer generation.

Not for me.. But I suspect it will sell well.

The authorities can't do anything, just like they can't make everybody respect speed limits on the road. Even if they banned model flying completely some people, especially the problematic ones would still buy or build models and fly them. If you have to be in a club there will still be people that...
