Re: ERSKY9X Coding
@mikeb and @kilrah, An old topic, I know, but I just wanted to confirm that, after similar testing, OpenTX has the same problem dealing with two MLVSS units on the same Rx SPort -- it does not work unless you connect a third (non-MLVSS) unit on the chain -- then it works the same as Ersk9x (oops, so...

Re: Making calculations on Telemetry Values
Thanks for your reply, even though you say that it is not a simple thing to do without LUA. Since I have not used LUA and don't feel that I should have to learn to write scripts to do something that is relatively simple in another OS, I guess I'll pass on it for now and hope that this type of calcul...

Re: Writing Lua Widgets for Horus
Thanks for answering my question, over in the other post (even though you have said it probably can't be done easily in OpenTX without using LUA).

Making calculations on Telemetry Values
Newbie to OpenTX 2.2.3, now have it on my FrSky X12S (I have been using Ersk9x on my 9XRPro and my QX7) -- I use MLVSS in my larger planes and have an audio special function to audio/read out flight pack voltage -- that works ok for me. I also use a widget (on FrSKy X12S) to display pack voltage and...

Re: ERSKY9X Coding
I suspect that, among the many other things that you do for us, this Jumper project might take up a bit of your time right now and, since the X12S seems like it is going to benefit from what you are doing with the Jumper, I'm happy to wait until you have had some more time working with these new dis...

Re: ERSKY9X Coding
Can't help you, I'm sorry - we don't have a winter lay-up where I live :D and I have only just made this conversion recently. Re FrSky X12 Lipo conversion - what is the consensus on 'storage' voltage for it during winter layup etc? I have one I was sent back along, but have yet to dismantle the X12 ...

Re: ERSKY9X Coding
Hmm, ok - guess it's a bit of a stretch to think that FrSky will tell us what they mean - maybe I can find it somewhere around the web - will go looking. I'll still try to give some input about the colour display, but I think that it's good that you're getting another 'guinea pig' unit to work with ...

Re: ERSKY9X Coding
Mike, Regarding SWR - can you tell me how this is calculated in Ersky9x, please? A club mate recently worked on an XJT module for me (see thread on EEPROM replacement to overcome 'beeping' problem) and commented on the SWR readings I was getting on two different antennae (each one received from FrSK...

Didn't mean to let the thread go to sleep, but have been busy with family travel and (some) flying, but also workshop building. I have also (today) received my LiPo conversion kit for the X12S and have now installed it, with the charger working now - will take a look at how it holds a charge over th...

Ah, didn't know about the floating point - thanks. Part of the reason I attached it was to receive any such pointers :) And, I had wondered if I could run these on a PC first but hesitated to ask - thanks for that detail, it'll help. Have shutdown my laptop for tonight but I'll continue to fiddle to...

Re: ERSKY9X Coding
I downloaded the latest X12d test version and tried your script - yes, that's close to what I was meaning - thanks! I say 'close' because I see that this will scroll off the screen by the time I walk back to the pits to view it, but that's probably a next step, I guess. For my next step, I made some...

Thanks for this extra work, Mike. I'll spend some time playing with it later today. Re: ERSKY9X Coding
Errr, looked through it a bit - reminded me of a bygone era in my early programming life - not difficult, but one which i'm not sure I want to revisit just to see graphs. Think I'll wait a while and see what you come up with, Mike, before I launch back in to this level of involvement :( Haha! I thou...

Ok, I've looked at the couple of scripts which are on the Er9x released versions site - can anyone point me to where the full script language set is documented and to where any other 'learning'/support material resides? thanks in advance, ozphoenix Oh, bother -- now it looks like I will finally have...

Re: ERSKY9X Coding
Oh, bother -- now it looks like I will finally have to go back and re-learn scripting! Haven't done any for years. Oh, well -- nothing ventured, nothing gained - so be it! The graphing, and storage/filtering, could be done using a script already I would think! I may need to add something for the X12...

Re: ERSKY9X Coding
Good start :) Since you're talking about telemetry -- one concept I have been mulling, given that most X10S/X12S users would be using a Tx module protocol which would support it (as opposed to, say, DJT) is a (slightly-averaged) graph of RSSI. I know we can log this to a telemetry log and then revie...

Re: ERSKY9X Coding
No doubt at all - model name appearance and location remains as is. I do agree with you.. Model picture, should probably only show in one screen. But I think model name should show always.. In my opinion, we always need a little confirmation of what model we have loaded.. Extra safety for people tha...

Re: ERSKY9X Coding
Ok, thanks. I agree - bundling in other people's stuff can lead to unexpected consequences and none of us wants that - let's keep it simple. Thanks for looking into it, but I'm not asking you to spend a lot of time on it - we can do well enough with what we have, if changing it brings too high a cos...

Re: ERSKY9X Coding
Mike,
Just curious - is it possible for you to use the same aspect ratio as OpenTX (192x114 png) or FrOS (155x100 jpg) for plane images? That way, icons already produced (for example, on SkyRaccoon) can be used in ErSky9x on the X12S.
Regards,
ozphoenix

BINGO! I do believe you have solved it :) Unable to cause a restart, though scrolled for about two minutes - the longest time prior seemed to be about 30 seconds or less. Re: ERSKY9X Coding
No -- both my wife's eyes and mine believe that the 'grey' of the 'flash once' screen is more 'blue' (like my selected background colour -- red:0, Green:15, Blue: 30) than the steady grey of the status line - if you can guess what we mean. BTW - and, only as a reminder - sometimes the screen that 'f...
