Re: A tool to generate voice files using various TTS providers

If you put:
<prosody volume="x-loud">
At the front of your phrase to speak and:
</prosody>
At the end, it should work

Re: A tool to generate voice files using various TTS providers

The volume of voices can be adjusted using the SSML prosody tag as per the following link: https://docs.aws.amazon.com/polly/latest/dg/supported-ssml.html#prosody-tag Using SSML is bit advanced but very powerful. An example: <prosody volume="x-loud">this is the maximum volume</prosody>

Re: A tool to generate voice files using various TTS providers

A question on automatically trimmed files; Would you like to see the folder layout as follows? MP3 |_SOUNDS |_System |_User |_Trimmed |_SOUNDS |_System |_User Wav |_SOUNDS |_System |_User |_Trimmed |_SOUNDS |_System |_User i.e. trimmed as a subfolder of the wav and mp3 folders or would you prefer th...

Re: A tool to generate voice files using various TTS providers

Hrmm, it turns out that you can actually ask the user whether they want to apply the latest update, and also show release notes. Still working on whether associating with file types is possible.

Re: A tool to generate voice files using various TTS providers

I tried out squirrel and I have a couple of concerns:. It silently installs new versions of the software without acknowledgement by the user There is no mechanism for having portable vs installed versions (and no mechanism for associating PSV files with the software) There's no way to indicate to th...

Re: A tool to generate voice files using various TTS providers

I had planned to complete the audio editor functionality, however it's pretty complex (even more than the rest of the program, that's why it's been sitting unloved for 12 months) so I've put that aside for now. I'm adding a trim silence feature, which will automatically trim silence at the start and...

For some reason, my site has trouble displaying the accented character in your name, so I'll have to investigate that.

Re: A tool to generate voice files using various TTS providers

Thanks João. It's a bit of a gamble on my behalf, but I'd rather try to keep the tool alive and hopefully cover the cost, instead of abandoning it 😎 I'll be adding an acknowledgement section to the website shortly, and I'd like to put your name in there for your assistance in troubleshooting, beta t...

Re: A tool to generate voice files using various TTS providers

As the 12 month free tier for Amazon Polly will be expiring in a couple of days, I've created a website to host TTSAutomate updates from now on. TTSAutomate is still free to download and use, however I've added an no obligation option to purchase 'support' through PayPal in case anyone would like to...

TTSAutomate 3.0.0.0 Released

TTSAutomate 3.0.0.0 is released. I had hoped to include full voice editing functionality in the 3.0.0.0 release, however Ivona forced my hand by turning off their TTS service. Hence I have done an initial integration of Amazon Polly. I'll monitor the usage of Polly and if it exceeds the free tier, I...

Re: A tool to generate voice files using various TTS providers

Ivona is completely gone unfortunately. Amazon Polly has the same voices though.

Perhaps I should setup a proper webpage for the tool, with a paypal donate button so people can contribute if they feel like it.

Re: A tool to generate voice files using various TTS providers

Ivona has ceased to allow voices to be generated using their system, now that it has been deprecated in favour of Amazon Polly. I'm working on the integration of Amazon Polly now. On the plus side, it's very easy to implement in comparison to Ivona (about 5% of the code) On the down side, it's a pay...

Re: A tool to generate voice files using various TTS providers

Please be aware that the Ivona voices are currently disabled as we have used up our monthly quota of voices. The Ivona voices will be available again on April 1st. Ivona.png In the longer term, Ivona will be deprecated and we will be forces to change to Amazon Polly, which has similar features, but ...

Re: A tool to generate voice files using various TTS providers

Drag and drop would be a nice feature. I'll look at implementing it, and also put the voices.psv file back in the installer.

I'll also review and include your phrases. Thanks for your help!

That would be desirable, however it's not supported by the current installer I'm using. I'm still trying out other installers to see if any are more cooperative.

Re: A tool to generate voice files using various TTS providers

Yes, it will look in the correct location for the settings.

You can manually preserve the settings by backing up the settings file at the following location:

C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\[email protected]\TTSAutomate.exe_Url_<some GUID>\<version>\user.config

Re: A tool to generate voice files using various TTS providers

Unfortunately, that will not work, as the executable will look in the installation directory for the settings file, and if it cannot find one it should create a blank one.

Re: A tool to generate voice files using various TTS providers

Did you extract the zip file over the top of the contents of the installed version? The installed version stores your settings in a location determined by Windows. The portable version stores the settings in a .settings file colocated with the installed files. I'm not sure what happens if you mix th...

Re: A tool to generate voice files using various TTS providers

You get the psv filetype associated with the tool, so double clicking on a psv file will open it in TTSAutomate.

It's also simpler for some people who struggle with zip files etc.
