Re: Using FrSky S6R with ersky9x

I am speaking on other stabilizers. Have this one set up on 5 and 6. That's why I want to use it. Most other brands just have one output each unless you go sbus.

Re: Using FrSky S6R with ersky9x

Ran it on a very rough gasser before without any trouble. Good thing is if there is a problem you can quickly turn the gain down then get to the switch but truthfully never had a problem. Then again i rarely used it. As I said really only have them for high wind days. Would love to find a stabilizer...

Re: S8R won't go into self check

Sounds like you have not set up the self check switch correctly, either way it looks a bit complicated, you don't need a curve. It shouldn't go into auto level mode, it does a distinct up/down movement on the surfaces a couple of times. Full instructions on setting the SxR can be found here in the ...

Re: Using FrSky S6R with ersky9x

Yes, mounted with 3m double sided foam tape. I do while idle get a flash of yellow from the led. I had one in a 30cc gasser that seemed to work fine. Plan on taking it up high and see how it handles it. If I have to go with no stab it's not a biggie. I typically only use it to help smooth things out...

Re: Using FrSky S6R with ersky9x

Thanks Mike. not trying to run with the engine running. No chance of running it to the opposite side as the servo is right up against the side of the engine box. I am looking for the possibility of a servo programmer for the XQ digital servos to change its direction. For now I will just switch the s...

Re: S8R won't go into self check

Just an update on my issue this is on a gasser and what I've found is if you have to reverse your throttle servo in any way be it a curve, a reverse on the first tab throttle reverse or in the mix or on the outputs it will prevent you from going into self check. I haven't checked yet but setting lim...

S8R won't go into self check

I have tried every and anything to get this RX to go into self check. When I switch the switch for ch 12 all the way the plane tries to self level so I know 12 is working. I have made a curve so that it can not fully switch past center. I have set end limits so it can't go past 0 nothing seems to wo...

Re: Using FrSky S6R with ersky9x

So you are saying have a slight pause at the middle position?

I created a curve that would not allow the switch past 0 and even that did not work.

Re: Using FrSky S6R with ersky9x

having some issues with my RX. A few weeks back I had firmware issues and we got that figured out....or so I though. I had 2 rx's that would do nothing. I reverted back to an older firmware and then back to the latest (non 2.0). I did this on one RX and it then was able to go into self check with th...

Re: S8R problem but thought someone might know.

Yah, I had done that but on a previous model it was in. That was the problem. Although I can't get the selfcheck to work with channel 12 had to enter using the bind button. Was just coming back in to say that was the problem.

S8R problem but thought someone might know.

I have a S8R in one of my planes. The rudder servo, no matter what I do does not have full travel. If, I plug into another slot I get full travel and if I plug in a new RX on the Rudder channel I get full travel. Just not when on the S8R. I don't see any way to change it in the S8R setup. Anyone kno...

Re: X9D+ telemetry lost/recovered.

Yes, never been a big problem just irritating to hear the Telemetry lost /recovered all the time when you are coming in to land. Realize that signal emmits as such ((I)). Tough to find an orientation that is always good. if you go with vertical polorization it is tough to get the RX ends vertical an...

Re: X9D+ telemetry lost/recovered.

Flying solo. I think I must admit being wrong. Area I had problems with was 90° to my left and my antenna was pointed in that direction horizontaly I changed it to straight forward and did not get that warning this last flight.

I have looked at logs and RSSI has been fine but getting this blip for a split second. not receiver signal lost but Telemetry signal lost. Still I will try the reposition of the antenna this morning.

X9D+ telemetry lost/recovered.

Is the Telemetry easily knocked out by other frequency's? On almost all my models after a really good range check while landing in a certain direction and altitude I get a telemetry lost and almost instantly telemetry recovered warning. All of this always in the same area and about 100+/-ft away. De...

I set the limits and there are no dead spots, but on the ground taxiing it was really touchy. That is why I was asking, I got it figured out though.

Thanks

Re: Gasser throttle curve

I believe that I am going about this all wrong. I picked up an old FM radio to use on my flight sim and was reading the manual. They spoke about setting the throttle expo and how it does not effect the sensitivity of the mid stick but instead the low or high end of the stick depending on positive or...

Re: Gasser throttle curve

Thanks João, that is how I have set it up and how I do on all my fuel planes. There is not much difference between throttle closed and throttle wide open. I would like to slow the movement a bit so I have more control I can't go in any further on the servo arm and can't go out any further on the thr...

I am using the shortest point on the servo arm and the furthest point on the carb. Even with that my servo limits only use 50%of total movement of the servo

Gasser throttle curve

I have finally gotten my first gasser up and running. Problem is that the throttle is SO touchy. I have never programmed a curve or expo into my throttles pretty much us a straight diagonal line. I am wondering what a good starting curve would be that slows the progress of the throttle servo but uti...

Re: Taranis X9D and X6R RSSI low/critical warning issue

No, I flashed it because the rudder was searching for center. After flashing it I still had that problem. There was some trash under the servo arm. It was actually acting like I had digital mixed with analog servos.

Re: Taranis X9D and X6R RSSI low/critical warning issue

I guess that I must have gotten a bad package when I flashed the RX. I tried flashing an earlier firmware to the RX and was totally unable to get it to bind, even with going through the bind procedure. I then Reflashed the latest software and then did a range test and all was well. so, I guess a bad...

Re: Taranis X9D and X6R RSSI low/critical warning issue

I hope not, the thing is as stated in the beginning I can put the TX in range check mode and walk over 100ft and still have control of the aircraft. it starts telling me a low or critical signal just 10 ft. away. With the Tx in normal mode I can be on top of it and only have about an 80 - 85 RSSI. I...

Re: Taranis X9D and X6R RSSI low/critical warning issue

Problem is that I have always flown X series and this is not a new RX in the aircraft it is the same RX just that it has been flashed with the latest firmware.

Is there a place to download old Firmware?
