Re: Can't "simulate"

Phew!! Thanks João. Could have been Companion (I dabbled with that when I first got the 9xr, and before I started reading up on stuff here)
Looks like I was losing it

You guys really do a super job, thanks again.

Re: Can't "simulate"

Yep - unless I've lost the plot completely.
Having said that I could be just muddled - there's a lot of seriously bad stuff going on (healthwise) in the family lately

Re: Can't "simulate"

Thanks. The problem is that while I can connect to the computer, read models to and from eepskye etc., when I try to simulate controls there is no movement on the computer whatsoever. When I frist used eepskye the simulated controls followed the movements on the tx. Now nothing :-(

Re: Can't "simulate"

Nope - updated everything a few weeks ago and Mike and João kindly got me up and running. Here - http://openrcforums.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=123&t=8581&hilit=Ruaidhri All worked fine until I tried eepskye this evening. By way of explanation I should note that a) I am a grandfather, and b) ...

Re: Can't "simulate"

Thanks Daedalus66

Yep - I get that, but while the models download from the tx to eepskye fine, the "simulate" doesn't respond to the sticks.

What's particularly irritating is that I had this working fine a few weeks ago!!

Looks like I'm getting senile

Re: I'm in trouble!

Mike and João, Thank you both very much. You'll not be surprised to hear that by following your instructions to the letter all probs have been resolved - and yes, it was the 3v battery :-) luckily I had a bunch of the right ones from another of "Grandad's speriments" :D Have a think about ...

Re: I'm in trouble!

Thanks Mike.

I presume the coin cell battery is somewhere in the guts - I'll have a poke about tomorrow and check. Getting a bit boggle-eyed at the moment

Thanks again - and please see the "BTW" in the reply to João above.

Re: I'm in trouble!

Thanks João - that was FAST!! Got the voice done as you suggested and doing fine. Looks like I'll have to redo my switch warnings, but that's no biggie. Hardware and eeprom now enabled thanks. There was in the original (Hobbyking) the ability to change two position switches to three position - can't...

Thanks

Just a quick thank you from an old fart in Dublin, back into model aircraft after decades.

I really appreciate the work the team are doing (although most of it is over my head!), and the friendly atmosphere here.

Cheers
Ruaidhri
