Re: ERSKY9x Rev. B1 User Area

Hi Mike.
MikeB wrote:LUA scripts are not currently supported on ersky9x, if that answers your question?
What about the future? Are there plans to support scripting (any form really, doesn't have to be lua) in ersky9x?

Re: Voice Packs for Ersky9x

Ersky9x DOES NOT USE any tadaaa.wav ;) That is for opentx. Generate the complete pack.. There is a base "Phrase file" supplied with the tool already. Just open it, add your own files, select a voice, select an output directory, generate the complete pack, done :) Maybe I am blind, but I d...

I find Microsoft's 'Microsoft Server Speech Text to Speech' voice 'en-GB Hazel' is quite pleasant.

Replacement lid for orangeRx / HobbyKing 1 W UHF JR module

Hey guys. I was annoyed with the 'straight out' SMA connector on the orangeRx JR module, so I designed a replacement: IMG_20161103_020005.jpg IMG_20161103_020438.jpg You can get it from here: https://www.shapeways.com/product/NB5DD67SN/orangerx-uhf-1w-jr-module-case-lid?optionId=61127445 Or print it...

MULTIPROTOCOL support for openLRSng

Hey guys. I have added support for MULTIPROTOCOL to the openLRSng TX side: https://github.com/openLRSng/openLRSng/pull/122 It supports serial RC data and telemetry, and in addition to this it supports the following functions on the RC controller: - profile selection (via 'RxNum', 0 keeps the configu...

Re: SUMD serial protocol support

Confirmed working in a test flight with latest ersky9xProvR219t_music. openLRSng now can support a fully digital rc command / telemetry setup with ersky9x. Good work, @MikeB! I found that on my 9XR Pro, after a while, audio output cut out, and I had to restart it to get audio back to work. Is there ...

The most recent sources are here: https://github.com/MikeBland/mbtx/tree/next (in the next branch). I got the sources, thanks. Also, I have implemented basic support for the MULTI protocol in openLRSng: https://github.com/openLRSng/openLRSng/pull/117 This comes with the drawback that, when it is en...

Re: SUMD serial protocol support

Is SUMD a protocol for the transmitter, the document says "The data stream is generated by HoTT receivers" ? Looks like it can be used on both sides of the link, or at least openLRSng has it implemented on RX and TX side: https://github.com/openLRSng/openLRSng/blob/master/TX.h#L562-L603

SUMD serial protocol support

Is it possible to get support for the SUMD (https://www.scribd.com/document/2053591 ... 062012-pdf) serial protocol added to er9x / ersky9xr? The protocol spec looks simple enough, and I'd be happy to help with the implementation, but I couldn't find recent sources.

openLRSng serial RX / telemetry at the same time

Hi guys. Is there a hardware reason for the statement You cannot use SBUS, Spektrum or SUMD and use serial telemetry at the same time: in https://github.com/openLRSng/openLRSngWiki/wiki/Telemetry-guide ? For FCs running cleanflight / betaflight, it is possible to enable serial RX / telemetry on the ...

Re: [SOLVED] Changing a 2-pos switch for a 3-pos switch

Hi Mike.

Nope I didn't. It was in fact missing. Is that HK pinching pennies? I've added a 70 as R22 (100 would be the correct value?) that I could get out of a piece of junk floating around. Now the ANA input works in my build from 30/12. Thanks Mike.

Cheers

Re: [SOLVED] Changing a 2-pos switch for a 3-pos switch

Hi Mike. Unfortunately building from the tip of next gives me a binary that results in a flickering blank LCD when turning on the 9XR pro. This is built on the same install that gave me a good build of the tip of next on 30/12. The build from 30/12 has the option 'ANA' for the ELE switch. However, s...

Re: What firmware to run on a 9XR pro?

Hi Mike. If the left trim is on at power up, then the splash screen is forced to show, even if it is turned off. You have 4 seconds, while the splash screen shows in which to release the trim switch, before it will affect the trim setting. Ok. But then what about at least giving the acoustical feedb...

Re: What firmware to run on a 9XR pro?

That's not a bug, it's an operator error. Just don't hold the trim for a long time. I see the fact that the trim is permanently changed without giving the acoustical feedback that is given when changing the trim at other times as a bug. And the UI design that allows for this operator error is also ...

What firmware to run on a 9XR pro?

Hey 9XR pro users out there, what firmware are you using on your TX? There seems to be a bit of a tie between ersky9xr and OpenTX, with the pros and cons of each being (in my opinion): ersky9xr: pros: - good support of the 9XR pro hardware - some features more advanced than in OpenTX cons: - project...

OpenLRSng TX serial protocol support

Are there any efforts under way to get serial protocol (Spektrum / S.PORT / SUMD / ...) input supported on the TX side of OpenLRSng? Since serial protocol output is already supported on the RX side, this seems like a reasonable thing to work on. If not, are there any hardware limitations making this...
