Re: OpenTX 2.2 Documentation for the Taranis and Horus Transmitters

Hi Rcdiy I haven't updated any of your issues yet. Life has been very hectic the last few months outside OpenTX and even the chance to fly. I have also been waiting for 2.2.2 to emerge and then do one big update. I assume people who download the docs will read some of the comments on here and see if...

Re: Taranis to Horus Mapping problem openTX 2.21

There is an open issue on the S2 mapping. Hopefully cured 2.2.2 I agree its a right pain with no progress bar and did ask for one but no joy. If you look in the bottom left hand corner of the Companion screen you will get a writing file message which disappears as soon as the file is written. Not id...

Re: OpenTX 2.2 Documentation for the Taranis and Horus Transmitters

Thank you for those comments. Good point about the illustrations. Nobody else has commented on that! As for the switch diagram. I'll have to work on that. I ran out of time/effort/patience/coffee when I was finishing that section off. There will have to be an update soon to correct a number of omiss...

Don't know which set of documentation you are referring to, but the set I have posted in this very topic is correct and clearly states the radio should be switched off:

Re: OpenTX 2.2 Documentation for the Taranis and Horus Transmitters

At the very least, the boxes are unclear. As far as I can see, It was of some use with the Taranis, as a 32k bin file was stored in the directory, however it has no effect whatsoever with the Horus. I will alter my docs too to clarify this. I think you are right not to rely on it doing model backups...

Re: OpenTX 2.2 Documentation for the Taranis and Horus Transmitters

Hi Rcdiy, Point taken for the LUA scripts, Another change to make. However, had a play with the backup, and I think it is a bug. I have found that nothing is saved in the backup files location despite a lot of different loading and saving. The models are saved in the file directed by the "Save as" c...

Re: OpenTX 2.2 Documentation for the Taranis and Horus Transmitters

Very impressive! Thank you for putting this together. It will be very handy to refer to as I build new models in my radios. I do note that the section on GVARS does not mention Name, Unit, Precision, Min or Max - what they are, and possible limitation on their use (ie - "precision" of 0.0, when rea...

OpenTX 2.2 Documentation for the Taranis and Horus Transmitters

Here is the extensively updated documentation for OpenTX 2.2. It covers (hopefully) all aspects of OpenTX on the Taranis X9D+, X9E, X7, Horus X10, and Horus X12S transmitters. The 240 pages are split into 10 sections. Section 1 lists the contents of each of the other sections. Section 2 is a Getting...

Re: Flashing OpenTX 2.2.1 to Horus X10

The X10 needs to be switched on, then connect to the PC/Mac. You will get a message on screen giving 2 options, either joystick or USB storage. You want the latter then you should be in. Incidentally, hoping to have full documentation for X10/X12/X7/X9 radios with OpenTX 2.2 ready within 2-3 weeks. ...

On a MAC use Grab
On Windows use the Snipping Tool
Both apps supplied with operating system.
The snipping tool in Windows will not work with drop down menus, they disappear as soon as you select the snipping tool.

Hi all, have you tried TTSautomate? This is the perfect solution for sound files for OpenTX. Works with Windows.

Fair comment.

In that case, go to Special Functions, select the appropriate switch, then click the "Action" column and select reset and then the appropriate timer.

Re: X10s help

Why do you need a switch? It's already built in as a function in 2.1.1.

Simply give a long press on the select button, select reset, then timer 1,2 or 3.

At a guess, are you confusing the radio menu with the model menu? The former has 9 pages the latter 13.

Try repositioning the aerials in your model. There is little wrong with the S6R range wise compared to the X8R.

I find the GPS takes ages to find all the satellites, this is a real problem for me as I fly electric and use an arming plug to arm the plane on the flight line. To overcome this I use a tiny lipo which will power the GPS for many hours and is connected up long before the flight. Using a technique l...

You could try something clever like using movement on the aileron/elevator joystick to release the trainer mode. Works a treat and saves having to hold the momentary switch down all the time.

The documentation that thebrairs0 did is the best I have seen. It is for openTX 2.1 but most applies to 2.2 viewtopic.php?f=45&t=8724

Intend to start on the 2.2 version once it has been updated a bit more to include all the Horus features.

Re: Saving current x9D configuration

Simple. Use the Companion, and then save the settings to a PC as well, then you have a backup should anything happen to the Taranis. New Tx can have the settings copied over to them using the Companion.

See documentation in topic above this one.

Re: At what percentage throttle does TH% start to run?

TH% counts up/down as a percentage of the full stick range. Starts at -100.
Its not adjustable.
