Re: ER9X User Guide

Thanks for updating the manual, although I haven't updated my firmware because I am not currently interested in telemetry. My current firmware is er9x-r776 . Am I missing some non-telemetry new features? I have one suggestion for a change to the manual. The diagram on page 5 might be updated to incl...

Re: plus 200 to minus 200?

Really interesting! I was not aware that the data was transmitted as digital packets. Us old retired folk need to keep up with the advancement, eh? Yeah, 2250us will not quite cut it. Humm... actually, the sail servo doesn't really care about the center setting - conceptually, I could use the span f...

Re: plus 200 to minus 200?

Thanks, I was not aware that there was also a limitation in the Tx RF module. I guess there must be a minimum pulse width for the signal - is that the problem? I am working on a pulse stretcher using a Atmel mega8 controller between the Rx and the servo. But it occurred to me that it would be a clea...

plus 200 to minus 200?

I am using er9x. It seems the max output to the servo is plus 125 to minus 125. For a sailboat it would be a big improvement if I could get plus 200 to minus 200. That would allow the use of much cheaper sail control servos. It would bring the price down for my sail servo from $80 to about $25 if I ...

Re: Can a servo range be set to greater than 125%?

No I haven't heard of one.
My DX6i goes to 125%.
Of course I expect the 9x nonstandard firmware to give me nonstandard results. LOL
Seems like a pulse strecher is a good canidate for the firmware.
Thanks anyway.

Re: Can a servo range be set to greater than 125%?

Thanks for the quick reply. I was afraid of that. Yes, I understand that physical limits of the servo and that has been accounted for. I guess I will have to ask for that feature to be added to the firmware, eh? I was in hopes that someone would tell me that I could mix something with it to make it ...

Can a servo range be set to greater than 125%?

I would like to drive the servo on my sailboat way out of the normal range.
The servo has been modified to accept a wide swing, however the signal to the servo must be way out of the 1 to 2 ms that is normal.
the 125% value that seems to be the max for er9x firmware is not enough.
Thanks,
Walt
