Uh yip you can but why when you can get this LiFe battery which outputs 9.9V which is a little easier on the power regulating circuits.

Re: er9x flash blank screen -- HELP
Contrast Issue.
Dont have keypresses but when installing backlight. I found on the two I have done, the first thing I needed to do was to increase contrast setting.
You may be able to do this on eepe or companion9x under the general settings.

Re: No lcd display :(
If your original photo is correct then your screen connector is not properly connected. I can see a slight angle and it seems to not be fully inserted.

Re: ALES setup question
If you want to switch throttle off at the flick of a switch (say THR) then one of your mixes needs to be -100% (or even -125%)
What you have set up from your description is 100% throttle whether the switch is off or on.

Re: Protected user settings by Radio Setup.
All this debate reminds me of a quote I heard many years ago when I was researching Exchange Server best practise guides. "There are seldom good technical solutions to behavioral problems." Ed Crowley I used to have it in my email signature but quite a few people took personal offence at i...

Re: People willing to help with modifications
Justin Central and Eastern Auckland, New Zealand, you could call me Eastie as opposed to Westie (hi mate!) I am handy with a soldering iron and have managed to successfully fix my own 9x with an inverted stick, install SmartieParts programmer, Frsky Telemetry DIY kit and LiFe mod. Don't ask me to te...

Re: Protected user settings by Radio Setup.
I find a smack in the head sorts out anyone who messes with my settings.
No but seriously there is no way currently that I can see to prevent changes. Perhaps you could beck up your settings using épée or companion9x.

Re: 2 Stage Flaperons with Slow Up and Down
Thanks for this. I have spent most of this evening trying to find easy to understand instructions on how to program flaperons and your published picture was the easiest for me to understand. I don't know how many videos I've watched where flaperons are shown in action but scant info on how to progra...

Re: DO's and DONT's for the newcomer to 9x
DO take it apart and look at every joint. Go over with a soldering iron if you're not happy. And I am bloody glad I did too. Received my 9x last week from HK. While waiting in anticipation I perused these and RCModelReviews forums for gotchas, mods and other fun things. So I cracked open my unit an...
