To get the radio working in a flight simulator you will need the USB translator / connector as well.
Go to Ebay and search "flight simulator cable". The whole set up sells for $5.

Re: ERSKY 9XR Prov 221 d8 - no bind?
OK - my mistake.
The changes in he internal / external and the protocols fooled me. I finally found the BIND functtion.
Thanks for explaining the inverse TRAINER sub-menu.
I had to re-bind all my models after installing d8.
Thanks for the continuing development.

Re: ERSKY 9XR Prov 221 d8 - no bind?
Frsky and DSM protocols. In the protocol section usually the bind setting is second from the bottom (above the range check). In D8 the paging in the protocol section seems to be not working. The last line is 1st channel. The inverted "TRAINER" appears below the inverted "PROTOCOL"...

ERSKY 9XR Prov 221 d8 - no bind?
I cannot find the bind function in the usual place in protocol. Has it moved to somewhere else or is there a better way to bind in 9XR Pro?

Re: ERSKY 9xr PRO - bad rssi?
Thanks. Updating firmware on tx module fixed the problem. I was avoiding updating TX module until absolutely necessary. I was right. It took me over 12 hours of tries until I got all the ducks in a row. Now that I have done it there should be no problems updating TX firmware. Keep up the good work.

Re: ERSKY 9xr PRO - bad rssi?
If you are not getting the same problem then there must be something wrong in my settings. I have exactly the same problem (RSSI lowest at 69) with my only other FRSKY receiver on an Eachine E010 S. Anything obvious in PROTOCOL or TELEMETRY settings that I missed? Under the FRSKYD protocol there is ...

Mike,
I figured it out the file inside the zip are all named ersky9xr_rom.bin. I assume the zip file names indicate the latest modifications and that I might as well use the latest if I am using the testing.
thx

Re: ERSKY9X Coding
Mike,
Your nomenclature is confusing me. I understand now that I have the wrong rom.
Should I use the 06-Sep-2016 release - ersky9xr_romMavRssi.zip (this has the 9XR),
or the 27-Jun-2016 release - ersky9xr_rom.zip (this has no modifier after the 9XR).
thanks

Mike, Got it. I see that this test version has been downloaded only 29 time so far. Is there a separate forum where you get feed back on the test versions? I would like to see if anyone has other issues (so that I can stop asking the same). Also like to see the subjects of the forum stay on point. T...

Re: 9XR PRO - eePeSKY
OK I found that I had to use option 2 (searching internet).
Any idea why the servo output order is wrong ETAR instead of TAER?
Is there anyway of getting more channels (on PPM) from the R615X? I know it does not bind with option 8.

Re: 9XR Pro + Multiiprotocol + Orange receivers
OK - found the problem with 4 channels only. The options was set to zero (4 channels). Change that to 2 and getting 6 channels. Still getting ETAR on the servos - don't understand why. Also not possible to set option to greater than 2 (6 channels). Sure would like to bind with more channels for PPM.

Re: 9XR Pro + Multiiprotocol + Orange receivers
I have installed Banggood multiprotocol module, soldered the tx and rx jumpers, loaded Ersky pr219, Binding to orange receiver only possible with DSMX option. Getting only 4 channels. What option numbers to get 8 channels or more? PPM to Naze32 shows correct channel order (TAER) but plugging in serv...

Re: 9XR PRO - eePeSKY
Kilrah,
Thanks for the information. I have posted the results of my try at the new module with 9XR PRO on the other forum.
Is the OpenTX software working better than Ersky?
Where can I find the proper OpenTX (.bin) file? Which one should I select?
thx

Joao, Thanks for the quick reply I will use the .bin file from your link. I updated the eepesky and have successfully updated to pr219. My confusion is the massive amount of information on 9x. Re: 9XR PRO - eePeSKY
This seems to be closes to my problem. I have never been able to load firmware (.bin or .hex) from eepesky. I have loaded plane setups. The only way I have been able to update firmware is by loading to SD card and update directly on 9xr pro. This only words for .bin files as the 9xr pro does not rec...

Re: switch and high throttle warning - no voice no beep
Mike,
I just flashed 218 and in the alarm setting there is no difference from 217 (no individual switch choices).
In any case it does not answer my curiosity question of how I can set beeps instead of voice for the alarms.
I also upgraded eepesky and it appears no different.
thx
Daryl

It is not that I do not like the voice. I just want to know the fundamentals and want to know where the start up alarms are set - probably the same thing that has you curious now.

OK thanks guys. I took delivery of this tx just 3 weeks ago and the voice files were missing 074 and 075. There was no system folder at all. I downloaded the latest (I think) voice zipped files and copied onto the SD cards. Is there an option to go with the beep instead of the voice for the alarm? I...

switch and high throttle warning - no voice no beep
I have search all over this forum and cannot find my answer. I am using R217 firmware. When I turn on the TX and the throttle is no low or the switches are not all in the "down" position. I get the alarm warning on the screen but no voice or beeps. I have the beeps and alarm setting checke...
