Re: No Telemetry Screens

I'm now running OpenTx 2.1.9. I'm setting up a new glider with fan on the front so I have an ESC and I'm running it all directly off a 2S Lipo with an X8R receiver and I've run into the telemetry problem again. This time, when I Discover Sensors I get: Sensors Value ID 1: SWR --- 25 2: RSSI --- 25 3...

Re: Dual rates with M. Shellims F3f program

Thanks Kilrah. It's probably clear from my question that I'm pretty green at this but in the end I did work this out myself, all-be-it at 3.00am in the morning when my brain turned on full blast. Having reviewed instructions (again) in the OpenTx Uni, I did learn that the program reads the input lin...

Dual rates with M. Shellims F3f program

I have a T+ running OpenTx 2.1.7 and Mike Shellim's F3f_310_setup.eepe program. Mike does not use dual rates but I am setting up 2 new 6 servo gliders using this program and because I don't know what will be the optimum throws for the ailerons etc., I want to incorporate dual/triple rates onto a 3 p...

Re: No Telemetry Screens

Thanks Kilrah, I have found it and your 2.1 Telemetry system preview thread which has helped. Maybe I should not have updated to 2.1 from 2.0.15 but I was having difficulty connecting with V8R-II and XnR receivers but a combination of this and a revised XJT firmware solved those difficulties. 2 curi...

Re: No Telemetry Screens

OK. I succeeded in setting an alarm using a Logical Switch and a Special Function.

But still, where is my A1 and A2 and the Rx battery voltage display on the main screen?

No Telemetry Screens

I have a Taranis+ running OpenTx 2.1.7 My glider is arranged with an X8R receiver. I am trying to set up an alarm on the transmitter for low Rx battery voltage. I cannot find how to do this. Help appreciated. With the model switched on and in the model setup page, long press page takes me to the Tel...

Re: Flash non-eu firmware to X4R - Binding fails

I may be wrong, but isn't 150116 the latest 'non-EU' firmware for X4R that is supposed to bind with all 'non-EU' RF modules? Saying that, the 'EU' version of X4R firmware is 150121 . So I thought one of these two should bind with the Taranis in question... I have tried both of those with my receive...

Re: Flash non-eu firmware to X4R - Binding fails

Thanks Mike. I have stored that for possible use. I have discussed the problem with T9 and been advised that the Rx should have bound (binded?? ) with my current Tx setup and so is probably faulty. They will exchange it for another one. It seems I have some interim software (?) which still allows me...

Re: Flash non-eu firmware to X4R - Binding fails

Thanks for your response Mike. Since my OP I have updated the XJT firmware to non-eu version 141016 Now my T+ will talk to the V8FR-II and V8R7-II (both of which I bought earlier this year - T9) and an older V8R4-II all in D8 mode It also talks with the X8R which came bundled and an X6R purchased la...

Re: Flash non-eu firmware to X4R - Binding fails

A response at last. Thank you very much. I have had a lot of discussion here: https://www.barcs.co.uk/forums/topic/5417-ok-i-got-my-taranis-plus-now-what/?page=2 starting at the bottom of the page. Yes it is a 2015 Taranis Plus running OpenTx 2.1.6 - non eu I have now also updated the internal XJT m...

Flash non-eu firmware to X4R - Binding fails

I cannot bind my X4R (UK 2015 version) receiver to my Taranis plus with OpenTx 2.1.6 There's an instruction video on UTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jz6qnTsHcEE which I think is a bit out of date, but below it is a comment pointing to this forum : http://www.multi-rotor.co.uk/index.php?topic=...

Tilman,

Try here:

I don't know if they are small enough though.

Re: Taranis X9D Plus Quesions. I'm a newbie.

Thank you for getting back to me rdeanchurch. I honestly am so new at this that I am not 100%. I have the Taranis hooked up to the USB via my iMac. (I'm assuming the 3 finger salute is this method being I have to push the 2 trim buttons inward and turn it on at the same time). I downloaded the 2.0....

Re: Taranis Plus and V8 receivers

I have eventually solved my difficulties with main solution detailed here http://openrcforums.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=96&t=7395 This was only after I found how to install the developers OpenTx on my Taranis Plus which had the original FrSky OpenTx v 2.0.9-ue. Simply download and install OpenTx...

Re: No Telemetry. What am I missing?

I found what I'm missing: The information was there if only I knew how to find and use it. I found what I needed purely by accident on here: http://www.barcs.co.uk/forums/topic/5295-taranus-frsky-djt-module/ This showed me how I needed to read the Rx manuals to bind the X8R in D8 mode on the interna...

So the solution is simple. Reflash the radio to turn the option back on!
Having done that with my Taranis Plus (OpenTx v 2.0.17), why will it not bind with my V8 receivers when in Model Setup the Internal RF mode is set to D8?

No Telemetry. What am I missing?

I have a new Taranis Plus combo with X8R Rx. I have programed a model following OpenTx University Basic plane setup and I have bound (binded?) my Rx to Mode 5(D16) with the F/S button held down on power up. (Edit + additional info) All programed servos worked OK. Also, I first tried to bind this Rx ...

Combining X8R and X6R receivers and using Sbus

Is it OK to do this when I need only 9 channels? (all standard sevos)

Secondly, can you use up to 7/8 standard servos on the X8R standard outputs plus (up to) 8 sbus servos on the SBus output?

Thanks

Taranis Plus and V8 receivers

I'm really struggling here to find the best or even a workable solution. I purchased the Plus Tx recently having been assured that it is compatible with my 8 0r 10 V8R7-II and V8FR-II receivers. It isn't of course as I find when I try to bind them. The Tx only has mode D16-eu which is not compatible...
