Re: EEPROM version changes?
Thanks Mike, I was aware of that change log, but had hoped there was an easier to process list :) Now I know what I'm looking for it was easy to find! Remove safety switch A and V from '64-frsky version João, can I suggest an update to the manual as per this post above http://openrcforums.com/forum/...

Re: EEPROM version changes?
Thanks jhsa and Mike.
Is there a list somewhere that describes what had been cut from the m64 version? I really appreciate the work you're doing keeping these old m64 versions going even with all the new changes and features

Re: EEPROM version changes?
Thanks for the quick reply. I admit I didn't look in the Voice menu as I don't have the Voice mod. Voice Alarms This feature requires that a suitable voice module with SD Card be installed in the radio. Haptic (vibration) alarms require a further modification. I saw that and just completely skipped ...

EEPROM version changes?
About a year ago I upgraded to r820 from a much much older version of er9x, did the "ooooh shiny" on the many changes and then put it away again for another year. Today I finally set about playing with the logical and safety switches for some alarms and because its all so different I broke...

Re: Turnigy 9XR Pro Roll Problem...
Can't confirm for you 100% that it is your hardware, but I did have a very similar problem on the throttle channel on a brand new 9XR Pro. I had to post the whole thing back to Hobby King who just replaced the whole Tx. I subsequently purchased 4 spare gimbals with the next 9XR Pro I bought as they ...

Re: 9x with DHT (intermittent RSSI/A1 and no telemetry)
UART1 is where the "Telemetry" Tx and Gnd pins are physically connected on the NAZE32 Rev6 (and probably previous versions), so actually, you are connected to UART1, just on different pins.
Glad you got it all sorted!

Re: 9x with DHT (intermittent RSSI/A1 and no telemetry)
If you're getting RSSI and A1 values then the telemetry on the 9x/DHT and D4R-ii are all working. The issue is going to be either the wiring from the Rx to the FC or the configuration in cleanflight. Which wire(s) are connected from the D4R-II to the NAZE32? The receiver comes with a plug with 4 wir...

Re: Need some battery math help
So far they've dropped less than half a volt from their fully charged 3.3V in the first 6 months of operation. That is actually a lot, at 2.8V an LiFe is basically empty. The voltage difference between full and empty is much smaller than on Li-Pos. Absolute lowest voltage for Li-Fe is 2V, recommend...

Just stumbled on this post, (never actually ventured into the Pub before!) and saw there were no replies... Its been a while since you posted so you may have already sorted all of this by now? If not, this is how I approached the same problem in the past. I have remote Temp/Hum sensors run off 1S Li...

Just poked around in the Cleanflight source... static void sendBaro(void) { sendDataHead(ID_ALTITUDE_BP); serialize16(BaroAlt / 100); sendDataHead(ID_ALTITUDE_AP); serialize16(ABS(BaroAlt % 100)); } From the short time I've been playing with these FC's it appears that Cleanflight sets the Alt to 0 w...

Re: Telemetry and r820
Ok, wow. So how does -0.5 come through? Or are you saying that it doesn't?
What were they smoking when they came up with that protocol... lol
I assume then, that changing it to >= 0 will mean values between 0 and -1.0 will not show the negative either (which I guess is preferred)

Re: Telemetry and r820
What if you hit MENU SHORT while on the telemetry main screens and reset the altitude? That should fix the problem? No, I don't think so (although I will try it when I get home). My point is that a real value of altitude (as seen in the GUI for the flight controller) of 0.9m (positive 0.9m) (for ex...

Telemetry and r820
It's been about 2 years since I looked at what the current version of er9x was for my 9x, so what a shock it was when I finally loaded up r820 the other day. You guys have been busy! er9x Telemetry page (r812)
Hi, after a long time away from these forums I've finally had some time to catch up on 18 months of er9x happenings and have gone from r771 up to r812. My 9x has the FrSky telemetry mods and a backlight mod, nothing else. All seems to be working fine with r812 except for what appears to be an odd di...

Re: Quick question about frsky telemetry protocol
You're better off using: rs232.write(b, 9); Which (according to the doco anyway) should write 9 bytes from your array "b". I'd also define b as a byte instead of a char, since you are actually writing out bytes, not chars... Arduino's serial.(or softwareserial.)print never get on well with...

Re: Problem arming after upgrade
Are the channels assigned in Mode 2 order in the model mixes page? It easy to get this mixed up
They should be CH1 = RUD, CH2 = THR, CH3 = ELE, CH4 = AIL.
Alternatively, make sure your channels as defined on the mixes page correspond with the ones from your receiver to the flight controller.

No, it will work fine out of the box for most things. You will only have a problem with devices that specifically need to set the SCK frequency.
You'll most likely find out you needed it when it happens

Just in case you hadn't seen it.....
Using the ArduinoISP that came with IDE versions 0.22, 0.23 and 1.01, I would always get EEPROM read/write errors (The ROM flashed fine though) - see my previous post for a fix required in the sketch specific to the m64 in the 9x.
