Re: any actual difference between these two antenna

The point is that a Tx antenna is designed to get clear of the module and other stuff that affects the radiation pattern. The difference is mechanical, not electrical. The 9XR internal antenna works well, but it's inside a plastic handle specifically designed to keep it away from the works. If you ...

Re: wireless relay

if as I described using the cppm as input on the 2nd Tx on one ch, and receive at the 2nd rx in one ch by cppm then use a cppm converter to multichannel ppm, could that work? or the 2n tx has to be able to receive cppm AND trsansmit cppm? I know there is something funny about this wireless relay thi...

so wired ppm should work if the the distance is within reason (say < 20 some ft).
while wireless may have significant lag? but using a SBUS can decrease the lag?
did not know sBus has higher transmission rate. ;)

Re: any actual difference between these two antenna

Is there a difference of a Tx antenna and rx antenna? (for a dipole, circular is a different story) Any realistic difference as for the antenna is inside the box or outside the box? As far as I know, all the antenna has a plastic outer shell around just for protection except for some rx antenna. Isn...

wireless relay

I am asking some inputs to build a wireless relay for 2.4 GHz radio transmission. The idea is to control the model inside building/car/obstructed area but pipe the radio signal to a relay outside the obstructed area within a short distance to fly the model. The idea is to use a XJT(or any module tha...

GhostSharp:
There are two GPS format can be selected.
Under 'Radiosetup" - "general" 2nd page. YOu can change dd.dddddd or DDmm.mmmm. The DDmm.mmmm is equivalent to Google earth setting: Degree, decimal minutes.

Re: Adding MAVLINK support

  That is great video!  Yes, we can either set/store home GPS location of the model at the time of taking off in the Tx. Then we can use this even without MP when flying. Or may be getting this info from APM (which will require MP in the beginning)? The DtH, Alt and Galt is alre...

Re: Adding MAVLINK support

this may be worth tinkering around when the main functions are finished. At this time we have mavlink data via FrSky telemetry already. Which means we know exactly the home coordinates and the model's real time coordinates. the current mavlink screen has a center graph showing the heading. How diffi...

Re: Adding MAVLINK support

See we've been needing Mavlink for a long time now. [emoji1] Yes! And the same here. Found several things with APM that I never even knew existed - like the 'Drift' mode for starters! Of course that means I will now get lazy when flying, as rudder will be taken care of! lol! read the last paragraph...

Actually, while setting up this test in the past couple days I solved a few issues I was trying to figure out to run MP, Minim and FPV backup and recording on the laptop all at the same time for my Joystick panel. ;)

Re: Adding MAVLINK support

Got my Minim hooked up. Here are two short video for you to judge how all 4 (watt meter, ersky9x mavlink, MP mavlink and Minim) comparatively. There is some inconsistency, but this could be the different timing for each one displaying the data. I can't really control that well on a live model for vo...

Re: Adding MAVLINK support

LTMNO: my 450 only draws <4A max without the prop, if you can put the prop reversed and move clockwisely one position it will generate a down thrust and be able to test the amp draw. I am curious if the voltage is reported incorrectly with higher current on my AIOP board with MPNG (a bug in MPNG). Y...

Wow, looks like the code for Multiwii via FrSky D series is already there for OpenTx. Re: Adding MAVLINK support

Wooooooo, if Multiwii is fully functional, does that mean the next add on would be multiwii protocol to erky9x.

SONAR!!!, the MPNG does not support sonar. May be I should set up my HK AIOP V2 ~ Crius V1 with Muliwii ;)
I wonder if my 915 Mhz radio link can be used with the new multiwii ?

Re: Adding MAVLINK support

I started the error, should be any FC (multiwii board or others) using MPNG/APM can use it. ;)
I read Multiwii new version also has map function similar to MP, what does it uses Now? A couple yrs ago, Multiwii does not have the capability that is why I switched to MPNG.

Re: Adding MAVLINK support

I think is would be good to incoporate the code into part of APM. but keep the pro mini version, there are boards not running APM instead running Multiwii or MPNG, openpilot...... since this is a direct conversion of mavlink serial data, just about any FC has a serial out can use this.

Re: Adding MAVLINK support

Mike: Got my laptop mavlink radio working after driver fix. There is nothing wrong with your voltage data. It is the control board (MPNG/MP). Re: Adding MAVLINK support

yes Kilrah, after all night search on the web, that is my impression too. the issue would be the voltage divider, it MAY need a divider. Have not found that info yet.
