Re: OpenTX 2.1 telemetry system preview

I just downloaded last night's Companion build and am starting to play with the new telemetry. I have two immediate questions - How do we know the ID of the different sensors? (Do we need to actually have it running on a Taranis and have sensors plunged in to discover them, or can we do it all in th...

Ping! Has this every been answered? I'd really love the up and down arrows in my checklists.

I have a SWR bouncing between 16 and 17 - should I worry? Could I get better distance if it was lower?

Re: [SUPPORT] OpenLRSng support thread

It might not be necessary, but I'd flash them with the current software first. You should also probably at least take a look at how they're configured in the Chrome App to make sure it's how you expect.

Re: OpenTX 2.0.0

If there will be no more Mac releases, I guess I need to look into buying a Windows notebook for field use. Ugh. I'd rather buy a couple new planes. :( There is no reason to buy another computer, just use Bootcamp to create a Windows partition / installation on your current one. Then, when you need...

Re: OpenTX 2.0.0

Thanks Devs! Is there a plan to release for Mac? I can't believe I am the first to ask; is there anything I can do make the build and provide to other Mac users? Thanks, Sergio I am very willing to help with this too. If there will be no more Mac releases, I guess I need to look into buying a Windo...

Re: Haters gonna Hate FRSKY Vs the DX9i

Before people can buy a Taranis they should be required to answer one question: Is the time blinking 00:00 on your microwave at home? Not everyone can think logically and intuitively.

Cool! Is there a way to save the KML file on its own? I know I could export it from Google Earth.

Re: FrSky 2.4ghz and 1.3Ghz video

My hope is that we'll soon be able to run all of the FrSky Smart Port telemetry through OpenLRSng systems - then we can run UHF RC control, 1.3 or 2.4Ghz video, and keep all of our telemetry options. I've given up on using FrSky 2.4 with telemetry on any video except 5.8.

BIND PROBLEM WITH 3.6.2 I'm sorry for double-posting this, I put it on RCGroups as well. But one of my favorite quads is grounded until I get this figured out... I'm having bind problems with the latest release of OpenLRSNG. Here's my setup: Radio: FrSky Taranis Transmitter: HawkEye/DTFUHF 1 Watt D...

Re: My own voices won't be played by Taranis

That would be a pretty amazing way to quickly create all sounds with a simple script. Considering that Apple has some nifty voices from Nuance (you can download them in System Preferences -> Dictation and Speech -> System Voice -> Customize). Samantha (Siri) and Serena are pretty decent high qualit...

Recording on the Mac

The Mac command tools include a very nifty "say" program. I've tried using it like this: say -o ~/loiter.wav --data-format=ulaw@32000 --channels=1 -v Victoria "Changed to Loiter Mode." It's great because with a command line you can create many wav files very quickly using any voi...

Re: New openTX features

I'm speaking just for myself, but I'd be more than happy to pay for a download subscription - maybe $25/year/transmitter? I think it's important to keep the source code publicly available to keep in the Open Source spirit of things, and if anyone wants to download and build sources on their own ther...

Can you display text on main screen?

I've searched and haven't found an answer to a question I've had for a while - is it possible to output text onto the main screen from a Custom Function or something similar? I know the name of the Flight Mode will be displayed, but there are only 4 of those and it seems kind of convoluted. I'm hopi...

Mac update 1.36 (1.37) not working

I just updated to the latest release, named companion9x-mac-v1.36-update.dmg on the home page, but I guess actually Mac Update v1.37 according to the download page. Anyway, it crashes at startup. I'm running Mac OS X 10.8.4 and the crash-dump is below. It looks like a library is missing or in the wr...

OpenTx, Naza and Newbies.

I recently bought a 9XR and installed OpenTx on it. I wanted to use it on a Naza but was frustrated by the lack of information that was simple enough for me to understand as a complete newb. So I did some research, figured out Custom Functions and wrote up a bit of a primer on the subject. I hope th...

Re: Companion9x for Mac

Newb here, just started using Companion9x on my Mac tonight. When I try to write to the transmitter EEPROM I get an error that the SAM-BA executable was not found. Poking around I see that it should be in /usr/local/bin/sam-ba. I've searched my Mac and I can't find this binary, if it was supposed to...
